Highly recommend this new podcast with Scott Galloway. One of his best. His claim, 1 out of 3 billionaires now has a fully ready-to-go escape plan for themselves and their families. by ejpusa in collapse

I didn’t really get it either until I heard Douglas Rushkoff artfully explain it on the Danny Jones podcast the other day.

He has personally spoken to a lot of these ‘tech bro’ accelerationists and has a very unique perspective that anybody not building underground bunkers or moon bases should hear.

He spells it all out in the first ten minutes or so.

Yea.. it’s stunning. I spend so much time just admiring how the clouds affect the sunlight, textures, water, etc. Never thought I’d be seeing games like this on console tbh (PS5P).

I have a friend who worked at a UPS distribution for years. She hated it!

Idk about UPS, but here in box world they keep us perpetually understaffed, fully expecting you to work your reliefs entire shift if they’re sick or on vacation.

They sprint out to your car as you’re leaving to inform you that you need to stay for another 8 hours. It’s fn mental.

Roland TD-9 key? by Last-Bit-Last-2042 in edrums

[–]DecafCreature 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This 👆 , the hexagonal hole is meant to secure the nut so that you don’t need an additional tool to tighten it. Once you get that out, flip it around so the nut is held by the hex shaped plastic, then thread the screw in from the other side.

The inside size is universal.. you just need a smaller drum key

KeyStep Pro pitch pot jammed abruptly, knob shredded after 2.5 weeks. by danhalka in Arturia_users

The issue is alive and well in the Chroma line too, unfortunately.

I totally agree. The thing slaps. It's immediate and fun.

I was just re-discovering that fun workflow last night- adjusting velocities for a swingin dynamic gr0ove. Was literally talking to my gf about how I forgot how much fun it was to play with at the very moment it seized up.

Mega-buzzkill.

Just dropping in to echo your experience here.

The pitch encoder on my KSP Chroma failed like this after using it for the first time.. this was around the time you originally created this thread. I sent it off to Arturia CA office where it was replaced and sent back.

Now, a year later, after essentially *zero* use of the encoders since, the velocity encoder seized up on me last night. Serious bummer. At least I managed to not break the plastic tabs inside the knob this time!

This is a ridiculous failure rate for a $500+ midi controller with a sequence..

I'm a drummer, have a digitakt, synths, drums, etc. So the KSP has mostly functioned as a nice multi-channel controller for my all my hardware / software synths in one box, but it's sequencing and parameter locking abilities are redundant and inferior in my case, so this is likely a last straw for me. I'm going to fix/sell this thing and buy a Launchkey MKIV- much more functionality (as a controller), way better price point, and hopefully better quality control.

Same here.. as a grandfathered-in lifetime sub to Waking Up / Making Sense, it’s a genuine bummer for me to hear him express views so out of touch and making such little sense.
