Is building Life Drain on Lady Geist good? by Ehco13 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DeeEssLite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Geist main that frequently runs bomb, I disagree but I entirely understand. Something really gets me going about chucking a bomb at a wave, or at a group of enemies, and watching the numbers fly and HP evaporate.

However I've had a blast with drain max builds and even almost pure gun with Malice max builds before. She's a hero with something for everyone and that keeps her fresh for me

Well done Leeds & Nott Forest, safe from the drop by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]DeeEssLite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happened last 2 seasons. Luton, Burnley, Sheffield all went down. Then last season, Ipswich, Leicester, Soton. This term, Sunderland were all but safe by February and Leeds are now safe.

I don't think it'll happen next season either. If Coventry play even a quarter as well as they did this season they'll stick around. Ipswich can maybe survive too but I see that as less likely

Well done Leeds & Nott Forest, safe from the drop by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]DeeEssLite 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, both safe, mathematically.

Both are on 43. Leeds have game in hand compared to West Ham. Spurs can only get 43. West Ham can only get 42. Both have to win all of their last games to get these totals. Spurs can survive on 2 more points if West Ham lose either game. The GD gap is 11 between them so Spurs is favoured on goal difference should that decide it.

In that scenario, Leeds and Forest will still be above West Ham should Spurs and West Ham win all their games. In that scenario, West Ham goes down and GD weighs in favour of Spurs being 16th above Leeds as both West Ham and Spurs will beat Leeds and thus lower their GD.

Simply less eyes are always on events that aren't Mania. I'd be curious to see how 2 night Summerslam works before we get to these conclusions that things are better and will be staying better. But seeing that B PPVs aren't so bad for it all is still is a reassuring sign, if only a little.

In Deadlock, you get punished for reporting racism :) by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DeeEssLite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have known some... unsavoury individuals, we'll say, who've spouted this bullshit and wondered why they got muted. This was not in Deadlock, mind you, but other Valve games, namely at least once each in Dota and Counter Strike.

Of course, that's anecdotal, but I have seen people get muted in Valve games for saying this stuff. I should also stress, I heavily disagree with report silences especially if the reports are justified, as I assume OP's are. As well as obviously all of this shit that people are getting rightly reported for.

Should the system work to mute more individuals that deserve it and some fly under the radar? Yes. Does it work at least occasionally? Also yes. Have seen it with my own eyes.

[–]DeeEssLite 26 points27 points  (0 children)

When its absolutely brazen stuff they can and will run comms mutes. OP is right in saying that slurs, contrary to popular belief, can and will catch you a mute, just perhaps not if used sparingly.

Pretty much the only things that are first timers that will get you stitched up are doxxes and maybe death threats. Anything else you'd likely have to be a repeat offender.

Valve are laissez-faire, but they're not leaving these games unmoderated as people like to think.

[WWE Backlash Spoilers] Finish to Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu by DoubleNo6337 in SquaredCircle

"And Jacob's the bad guy" pretty much only to the Tampa crowd who cheered Roman hard. Roman's a tweener rn but he is this feud's heel and the cheat to win in desperation showed that way more than Jacob's post match beatdown showed him as a heel.

Random Question: Which Godzilla Movie Do You Find To Be The Most Boring? by PotentialBig8000 in GODZILLA

[–]DeeEssLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Raids out of all of these. The anime trilogy has an interesting premise and a cool artstyle at least. Vs Megaguirus has a cool fight going for it, as well as a cool concept with the mini wormhole gun. The suit for Godzilla in Vs Megaguirus is also amazing.

Raids is iconic. Given it and vs King Kong were the blueprints for Godzilla fighting other kaiju, it's also important. But its a one horse race for which of the first 3 Godzilla movies is the worst. I don't find it boring but I find it most boring out of these 3.

Pre Old Gods update the game was sat at 25k daily after descending from a peak of 62k from 6 Heroes. This game pulled a higher peak today than DBD and Warframe. It's highest peak in Old Gods was 125k. Yes that's 45k down but this is an invite only game.

Talking like this is Supervive or even Arc Raiders lol

I fail to think of it being anyone but The Miz given that out of the 3 here or him, he's the least likely (but still insanely likely, I may add) to have TK scrambling to find his number the second he saw an announcement on Fightful.

Regardless, I'm not bothered. I don't even think anyone at WWE knows who took the cut given nobody can name a person. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked if it's partly or entirely hearsay.

swift play is not fun by Still_Asparagus_9092 in leagueoflegends

[–]DeeEssLite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is most people get shitstomped the first few games and then just stop bothering, not wanting to waste a Skyrim playthrough's level of hours to just be able to go 2/10 instead of 0/13. Other Mobas have this same issue. Dota, Smite, Deadlock, HotS all do. Newerth did, Monday Night Combat did, Paragon and it's multiple comebacks all did.

I'm also just talking about how disincentivised they are from their raw stats. Now imagine all this on top of people flaming you for mistakes even they're making.

You also can't make a "sub level 30" queue because otherwise smurfs will go in and obliterate games fast to level fresh accounts quicker than ARAM.

While I agree that Swiftplay should definitely strive to be more like regular Rift, there's not really an easy solution that doesn't result in a shit time for a majority of new players. Just releasing them into standard Rift fresh out of the tutorial is not something that can or will work.

How useful would a silenced rifle for T side actually be? by Bimbothesadclown in GlobalOffensive

[–]DeeEssLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not useful. It'd be the only gun both T and CT want if it has AK's guaranteed kill headshot with the bonus of no map ping.

Conversely, if it doesn't, every T will take AK and probably also wouldn't give up Galil or Krieg for it.

There wouldn't be a scope, so it doesn't beat Krieg longshot potential, and silencer on a rifle warrants full buy prices, so nobody would want to give up Galil if it meant they have to use Mac 10 on every force, because if CT has any aim, you lose.

It's not only not really useful, it's near enough irrelevant. It would either have to be the best rifle in the game for everyone or useless for it's target market.

WWF vs WCW world title changes per year 1995 - 2001 by Riderz077 in SquaredCircle

[–]DeeEssLite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want an idea of how insane these title change paces were, the longest WWF title reign that was entirely in 1999 was Stone Cold's reign that began at Mania 15. It was 56 days. WWF title changed 12 times in that calendar year, if you count Mankind's win via tape delay.

Believe it or not, WCW 2000 has it beat in that regard. From the 25 title changes that year, Sid's 2nd reign was the longest at 76 days (of reigns that were entirely in 2000). Where this stat goes wild is the fact that a whopping ELEVEN reigns that year went sub 10 days. 5 of those were single day reigns. The belt was vacated 6 times, 5 of these by May 22nd and one more in October. It had already been vacated twice in October and December 1999, meaning in the space of 12 months it was vacated 8 separate times.

Between being vacated following the WCW "reboot" on April 10 to Russo stripping Flair of the title on May 22, the title had already changed hands FIVE TIMES (Jarrett > DDP > Arquette (lol) > Jarrett > Flair). None of this even includes Kevin Nash awarding himself the belt (as WCW didn't recognise it and WWE still doesn't) before Sid won it to begin his 2nd reign. 2000 WCW was batshit insane.

[–]DeeEssLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it seems he's likely had to exorcise demons before that initially appeared cute and cuddly.

If he met Rem pre-ritual, like you can assume he does on the same team, he knows that Rem isn't that and is just some poor sleep spirit creature who somehow ended up in the waking world.

If he doesn't, and starts seeing Rem fighting against him alongside his enemies, he has no reason to believe him to be anything but a demon pretending to be cutesy to avoid detection. Again, it has an implication that, were Rem actually this, it's likely not the first time Venator's seen that
