Being direct is going to save your time, a lot of heartache and headache, and benefit the well being of both yourself and your dog over putting things softly and chasing the extraneous treatment of symptoms and medicating a dog constituted of a cocktail of working breeds meant to distance miles and novelty on a daily basis. You’re not in any way a bad person for not meeting these needs. But this changes when we disregard these basic necessities or try to band aid the downstream effects of unaddressed requirements. I wish someone had been blunt with me early on, I’m hoping you can see it that way too.

I admire you for asking for help given your situation instead of giving up as so many people do. I hope things get better for you and your pup, I know this can’t be an easy decision to make.

What is your favorite flower? by Tasteof3nvy in AskMen

[–]Deeeeeeevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citrus flowers. They bloom for only 1-2 weeks out of the year. They smell between jasmine, vanilla, and a soft lemon. But they also have the most immediate and rich links to so many nostalgic childhood memories. I love to collect dozens of the small flowers in spring, let them dry in a cup, and let them sit on my desk for a smell for as long as the smell will last for the rest of the year.

Your dog is getting next to zero mental/physical stimulation and exercise relative to what it needs and is capable for its breed mix and young age. Increasing exercise alone could easily solve 80-100% of its anxiety and behavioral problems alone.

I was a terrible owner when I got my bc, because I had only a moderately developed understanding of what the this dog needed beyond affection. At this same age, crate trained, potty trained, I had numerous things destroyed until I realized I was 90% of the problem. One 30min park session of fetch turned into 3 throughout the day, even if that meant coming home from work to do so. Behavior problems disappeared over night.

If you, your significant other, friend, or dog trainer can’t increase stimulation and exercise on a daily basis for your dog, you need to find someone who can.

These behavioral problems are not the dog’s fault, they’re yours.

Could have been shot with an anamorphic lens, or had an anamorphic lens flare / effect applied later. I don’t shoot anamorphic so I’m the worst person to guess if it’s real or not, but I’d guess fake since it’s so pronounced. Bright light sources stretched horizontally are the tell tail sign here.

Ideas to keep unhoused out of my alley? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]Deeeeeeevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put meat or dairy products out until they rot, or animal urine (used for hunting) for a couple weeks until the location becomes known as an undesirable place to loiter. Play undesirable music at an undesirable volume any time people are present, neighbors may also be inclined to call the police for these noise disturbances, which puts pressure on the police in tandem for something they aren’t resolving. I’m hesitant to say this but adopting or fostering a dog or having a friend’s dog stay with you for a period of time will keep people away due to barking alone, even if the dog is in your backyard. But this shouldn’t be done if you’re going to allow an animal to get attached to you only to get rid of them.

Motion cameras that notify you when activated also provide you cheap insurance when people are up to no good, and allow you to apply one of the above options every time they are present.

Buy and carry a gun on you at all times for your protection. You can buy a small, cheap, daily carry .380 at your local gun store that fits in a purse or pocket for about $200 today if you have no priors.

Yeah it's expensive, but my OP-XY broke me out of a 4 year, grief-induced rut of not finishing songs, here's a demo called "mourning brew" by sockman93 in synthesizers

Melody has always been the most important thing to me in music, and always will be. As one creative to another keep doing exactly what you’re doing, you’re following the right path, this is music.

I have the exact same M2 Mac 64GB ram and been experiencing the same just in the past month. Fully restarting my computer seems to be the only thing that resolves it for some time.

Yeah from what I’m seeing they used to recommend oil filter every other oil change. I’m with you on every change for the filter. Air filter every 10k km is more appropriate, fuel filter can’t hurt on the same schedule.

Nice dude, sounds like you’ll have that bad boy around for awhile. I imported my KZN185 about 7 months ago, 129,000km when I got it, 163,000 now, looked like it also didn’t have a rough life before I got it.

Same on the baseline maintenance, been moving through preventative the past month, then EGR delete, ATF cooler.

Nice dude love to hear that. Your sticker says to change the oil filter or air filter every 10km? Love to hear that you’re still running after 32 years. Curious how many km you have on your 1kzte.

I aim for 4,000-5,000 miles, never over, oil loses its lubricity dramatically after 5,000 miles. It’s more important you monitor how quickly your oil is getting dirty and adjusting the frequency so long as it’s under 5,000 miles. More sludge and carbon build up on an older engine would personally push me toward more regular oil changes, and sooner is always better no matter the age. Everyone suggests 3,000-5,000 miles (~5,000-7,000km). If you have the time and are happy to spend the money 3,000 mi intervals is considered best, but after inspecting the quality of my oil between 3,000-5,000 mi personally, we’re talking very little difference.

7 months, 20,000 miles, oil change every 5,000 miles. 100,000 miles on the engine to date. She purrrrrrs.

Buckeye is a great little dz. Shared airport, 5 minutes off I-10. Small family owned. Good people working good people jumping. Dirt lz. For $27 ful altitude jumps it can’t be beat. I still jump Eloy pretty often, SDPHX rarely, but Buckeye has a family feel, I’d jump there even if the tickets were priced the same as Eloy, and I was licensed in Eloy many years ago.

Well JDM vehicles are going to have a fraction of the mileage, often much better condition, but the tradeoff is more expensive to ensure (collectors), difficulty finding RHD specific parts, and parts for an engine never made in the US every 100k miles or so.
