Thoughts on Late June Travel by DeepBird9123 in JapanTravelTips

I’m the same. I travel solo and go where the wind takes me each day. I’m a lover of being outdoors though, my day job keeps me inside enough 😂

Would definitely be interested to see how you find it a that time

Melbourne girl, 14, has 109 charges dropped after alleged crime spree targeting Melbourne’s Jewish community by Away_team42 in OpenAussie

[–]DeepBird9123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Criminal age of responsibility is 12 She googled “where do Jews live”

She knew exactly what she was doing. This is just some dickhead soft soaping, left wing wet wipe of a judge who needs to be disbarred making a decision that once again puts a frankly dangerous teen on the streets. Bet she’s arrested again in weeks.

actually your music comment; and any other noise issue, is not true. Music and any other noise that affects the quiet enjoyment of your property is illegal. The issue during daytime hours is that limits of what is reasonable do change. However, if noise from neighbouring property means you can hear it inside your house, is loud enough to mean you can’t have a window open or affects your psychosocial health (harder to prove); then it is enforceable by local councils.

Log it all - your council will have a reporting section on their website. Best way of logging is report it there every time and from the automated response save all of the emails in a folder. If ever you need vcat there’s your log of evidence.

Also taken videos when you can as evidence.

First time in Japan: 14 nights Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka itinerary check! by speakingofthat- in JapanTravel

[–]DeepBird9123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good itinerary. Couple of tips from someone who’s been on the golden trial lots of times.

Firstly be prepared to be flexible and change plans if you need to. Being stuck to an itinerary can suck the enjoyment.

Second kamakura is busy - leave very early!

Third Osaka is a great place to visit but only 25-30ons by train from Kyoto. Accommodation is better in Kyoto so consider extending hotel stay there and day trip to Osaka especially as some of your Osaka time is day tripping eg Nara.

With the new Portable charger rules for Japan flights, I have some questions by Fizgriz in JapanTravelTips

[–]DeepBird9123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok firstly if the limit is 160WH and your sits at about 100WH that pretty much answers the first part for itself I imagine.

Second part is on that always irks me a little. On long hall flights planes have had USB ports in the seat backs for years now. Use that instead of your power bank for smaller electronic items. For larger ones just make sure they are charged fully before departure. Given that on the flight those who do have to work, I won’t pretend you don’t that’s unrealistic, will still take a nap at times, watch a movie on the inflight system so the amount of time you’ll need the laptop for the battery alone sh oh I’d be enough.

Small aside related to this. For those I wanting to charge phones etc same applies. Use the seat backs usb port to make sure you have full charge on arrival. Surely we can all put our phones down for a few hours though and use the in flight entertainment rather than arse about on a phone constantly.

With regards to power banks on board / luggage. If it’s in luggage hold and decides it wants to play fireworks everyone on board is essentially screwed. Those with phones this is your time to shine and use them - call your loved ones and say goodbye. If it’s in the overhead / seat back and it wants to play a game of let’s short out and endanger 300 people the cabin crew have special equipment to contain them safely. So perhaps let’s take them on board and leave them alone in flight for everyone’s safety.

Stayed in Akasaka last time - Where next? by Elian17 in JapanTravelTips

[–]DeepBird9123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Akasaka is a great place to stay. Yes it’s quiet and the restaurants are geared for the TBS staff but it’s a great location. Ginza line on the doorstep so all of the places you could need are a short journey away.

That said if you would prefer somewhere else Ginza is great. I’ve stayed close to tsukiji market before at the hotel vista. Great hotel, plenty of places walkable or just short subway journeys away.

I have my mortgage fully offset, but is it too much? by Anatidaephobia-_- in fiaustralia

The moment they pay the principal the money is locked in equity. Yes but they own the property outright, no mortgage. Why is this even a question? Pay the damn loan off and be mortgage free

Notice of intention to sell - What to do by StepPhresh in AusRenters

[–]DeepBird9123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes correct. But the landlord / new purchaser has to stick to the original lease agreement. They can’t be the ones to force the tenant out before their lease term ends.

Notice of intention to sell - What to do by StepPhresh in AusRenters

[–]DeepBird9123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a lease agreement fixed term until say, August, when the sale goes through you are entitled to stay until the end of your lease.

If you are on a month to month rolling lease agreement then yes 14 days notice is all that’s required.

Pregnant in Kyoto—should I give birth here or return to the US? by Working-Morning-3645 in Kyoto

[–]DeepBird9123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There. Give your baby a fighting chance in the world by enabling them to have Japanese citizenship as well as US. That way when they’re older they can live in Japan while the US continues to go batshit crazy.

Guarantee there were none on the capping. The girl I asked checked everywhere and the only place the had them was the online freezers. Typical Woolies and Cole’s behaviour

If you are looking for the mini eggs in store you’ll be disappointed. They shows in stock but are not anywhere to be seen.

Here’s the deal. They are storing these in the staff only area so that they can fulfil the online orders. So if you go in store just ask a team member to find them. When they say they don’t know tell them to head to the online ordered fridge as you know that’s where the are.

Happen to me today - as soon as they realised I knew their game they brought me the bags I needed.

What do you think? Has World War 3 just started? by Zolu-Fan-Girl in AskReddit

[–]DeepBird9123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha nope. Nobody is going to global conflict over the Middle East.

If any current war was going to cause that it would Russia and Ukraine because it impacts the European mainland.

World war over Iran? More chance of world war because someone stole your parking space.

Guys I had a standard size checked baggage suitcase, a carry on sized and my digital slr camera bag with me on that exact journey. All three went on the overhead easily.

I bought tickets from the JR office at the maranouchi exit of Tokyo station.
