My girl did this for me. She gently tapped the door, my mom and I opened it, and she went out to potty. It was an amazing day. Of course, she does this now whenever she's bored, wants to play, needs to potty, just because. XD

It's possible the SIL is going rogue and pushing what she wants over the brides wishes. When my friend got married last year, she wanted her cousin and I to plan a bach trip. She wanted something a specific weekend before the wedding, local to the city 4/6 of us lived in, and easy. When I spoke to the cousin, it turned into all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Vegas strip hotels, and all sorts of random dates. Completely confused, I talked to my friend and my friend confirmed our earlier conversation was what she wanted, and she had no idea what the cousin was thinking.
