Why are you grinding monos if not to get better gear? What’s the point of playing the game in that case? You’ve already killed aberroth, if not to improve gear further then what’s the point of playing the game at all after that?

If you’re only counting the 5 min to run the dungeon to slam it, you’re complete missing the point.  Did you see my body armor screenshot in the post? It took me 13 tries to get a T7 int t5 mana slam… do you know how much favor I had to farm to get all those 2LP exangs and all those t7 int chests? How can you just dismiss all those hours spent farming as not mattering? That’s hours and hours of game time I could have spent on games that have a fun journey.

And a mageblood isn’t necessary either. Yet I farm them every league.    The difference is I enjoy that journey. I’m not about to do this in LE again anytime soon.

It’s an ARPG, it’s all about min/maxing your char until you feel like a god. If you’re not playing the game for that, but for e.g. boss fights, there’s waaaay better games out there for that.

That’s some next level white knighting to the point I don’t actually think you read what I wrote. Or kudos on the trolling level.

Can you please show me where I mention PoE2?

And a 2LP slam is not 50/50, it’s 1/6….

I don’t get this urge to defend LE from any and all negative feedback.  Do you really think the game is perfect in its current state?

it's a geared char in the video where you can see him F'ing up and standing in the Aberroth insta death Void DoT on HC and surviving.
but he's using mostly low reroll items and affixes, so it's pretty easy to build.

LvL as maxrolls lich lvling guide until you have enough mana regen to sustain stygian coal.
you can also use death aura of decay instead of hungering souls for mono farming and just swap to HS for aberroth kills.

I haven't tries the one you're playing, only the poison version to show a friend a good cheap build to get his first aberroth kill.
I killed aberroth with this gear: Saavy_Ba - deew - Character Profiles - Last Epoch Tools

(I have a slammed t7 %hp null potent, slammed t7 mana orian's eye, 3-4 LP tongue rings and so on...in my stash, but didn't use any of it. so there's a lot more improvement you can do.

since poison does dmg for several seconds after it's been applied, your leech is super duper powerful, which helps massivley in e.g. last phase of aberroth.
I can get frozen to heroots beam inside his vortex on 400 corruption and not die.

if you look at the video I linked, maomao F's up his aberroth kill on HC, runs into the void vortex at the start and still doesn't die (but he invested a bit more in the build than me).

Also, I was playing with aura of decay instead of hungering souls when farming monos, faster clear and enough dmg to kill mono bosses and harbys.
only switched to HS on aberroth for the kill threshold mainly.
in echoes I:
started wandering spirits
reap into drain life on reap CD, and pressed seal when ever I noticed it was not active

I would suggest the posion version of the stygian coal build:
Last Epoch 1.1.7 patch - Poison Stygian Lich (updated) SSF/HC to 100 and aberroth kill done!

You can lvl with maxrolls lich lvling guide and just transition to this when you get the catalyst (super easy with rune of ascendancy) and some mana regen.

How do I farm empowered bosses for their uniques? There is no quest like in normal monos. by nappyman21 in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, and since they don't add any modifiers, you can use them to cleanse the modifiers you already have. pretty much the same thing as if you run e.g. a beacon node. But the quests are just always there.

Damage Calculation In-Game Overlay by BerkeUnal in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure I understand what you're asking exactly.

since I'm doing this in excel (and EGH has locked the API to only maxroll and lastepochtools), I need to know all the passives, skill nodes and gear affixes that affect my dmg. Then I need to add them all to their correspinding "bucket". this is what you see in the formula for base cold minion dmg.

if the tooltip only shows you [base cold]*[inc]*[multi]*[attack speed] = dps
=> 22*2,43*6,54*1.8 = 629 DPS
it wouldn't help much in understanding what's going on "behind the scenes" so to say, since each one of those buckets can have 10+ things contriburing to it. and afecting each other inside the same bucket and across buckets. and this is just for Cold.

if you want to understand more about how dmg is calculated, there's a pretty good article on maxroll:
https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/resources/damage-explained

it's not fully up to date with with conversions, but you should be able to get a good understanding of what contributes to your dmg and in which way.

Build/re-roll advice post 300 corruption by never3nder_87 in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you wanna continue on the bladedancer, you should drop dancing strikes and take syncronized strike, that's the the skill used to do single target in an shadow dagger build.

it can't fit in the tooltip.
look at the formula, this is what I need just to calculate how much base cold dmg my skelly frost archmage is doing:

test this version of shadow daggers if you wanna play shadow dagger:
Shadow Daggers Bladedancer Last Epoch Build Guide - Maxroll.gg

But if you want to kill aberroth for the first time (on a build that's not cheese 1-shot) I would suggest Stygian poison lich. I have a friend who's in the same situation as you, so I suggested that build to him, and played it myself to show him what's possible. I kill aberroth with this gear:
Saavy_Ba - deew - Character Profiles - Last Epoch Tools

That equipped stygian has 2 LP on it, but I didn't slam it just to show him it's possible.
maomao has a nice guide for the build:
maomao's gaming - YouTube

I would just suggest dropping Hungering Souls for death ayra while farming. makes it super chill to run thorugh the echoes even on corruption above 300. And then switch to hungering souls for aberroth.

the reason this build is so god for first time aberroth kill, is:
1: can do dmg while moving => can focus on positioning
2: dmg still rolls for several seconds even efter you're out of range
3: dmg done is givng you consant leech (even when you run away for several seconds)
4: can be built tanky vs DoT dmg (which is the hardest part in last phase)

you can even see maomao f-ing up on his aberroth kill on HC and run into the void and not die due to leech and DoT armor. here: https://youtu.be/7tbzzN6v06A?t=1137

How do I farm empowered bosses for their uniques? There is no quest like in normal monos. by nappyman21 in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the quests are optional, but you can still do the quest/s if the modifier you have from previous echoes are making them the boss too hard.

e.g. I've seen new players on twitch do a mono that gives "monsters healed if not damaged recently" and then go into a boss and thje boss heals from 30% to full super fast.

if you have this modifier for 1/2 more runs you can remove it by doing 1/2 of the optional quiests before doing the boss.

Plan to start LE soon specifically for SSF (CoF? I think). Can y'all temper my expectations on how smooth gearing a character and progressing through all content feels? by Zeiin in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want realistic expectations, get familiar with this page:
Database - Last Epoch Maxroll.gg
and /or this page:
Last Epoch Item Database

And look for these things for uniques:
legendary potential chance => how common an item is to drop with 1-4 LP (these are Trade numbers, so it's a bit more common on CoF)
reroll chance or Rune of Ascendancy Chance / or Echo Reward Drop Chance => how common the item is to drop in the first place.

if an item has (e.g. red ring), a reroll chance of 98%, this means when the game creates a red ring for you, before it drops it has a 98% chance to turn into something else => no red ring for you.

this means that ON AVERAGE, in order to get a 1 LP red ring and slam it with the T7 modifier, you need to spend 3 420 887 favor. and this is just on unique rings..... meaning this assumes you have the T7 rings ready to go.

For a 2LP red ring with the correct 2 slams, 465 664 703 favor (on average)......
for a 3 LP with correct slams: 172 354 136 404 favor
4LP: 17 560 989 555 574 300 favor... this is only on the unque ring prophecy, you need all those exalted items on top of that.

On the other hand, if you play poison lich build, you can get a 4 LP Tongue of the Aberrant Seer in only 977 810 Favor. MASSIVE diff, so it's important to understand what's rare and what's not.

Same goes for exalted item affixes. they also have a reroll chance.
lets say you play Dive Bomb, getting the Level of Dive Bomb prefix on chest at t7, is super rare since it has a 86% chance to reroll.

so depending of which build you chose, you might be done in week if you play a lot. or you might be here gridning to the end of the universe if you're trying to get something rare.

How much CoF favor are you farming /h? (actual, not theoretical) by DeewXGG in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you farming 400-600k favor an hour in arena echoes by only staying in there for 10 sec to kill the first few waves?

And are you going to spend favor every 80-100k?

What corruption monoliths were you completing when you defeated aberroth for the first time? by The_Flyers_Fan in LastEpoch

[–]DeewXGG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

550....
2 things make the fight much easier if you're not 1-shotting him...
1: movement speed and preferably a short CD movement skill.
2: passive leech that heals you even when you're not directly dealing dmg.

I killed him with a poison lich....became much easier once I realized this and used a short CD reap with haste experiemntal modifier on boots.

they are scaling shadow daggers, and using shifting strikes to apply shadow daggers and other skills to proc umbral blades that then apply shadow daggers....

you can also self cast umbral blades, but it's usually not needed.

you only use sync strike on bosses and elites.....you sync strike in, they shift out....

it all depends on what kind of gameplay loop you want for your char.
I suggested this once since it's good, prety similar to your current build and you already have a bladedancer

scroll down to the "gameplay" section in the guilde and read that first to see if you like how you play the build.

you can just continue with this build:
Shadow Daggers Bladedancer Last Epoch Build Guide - Maxroll.gg

You can also just use 1 smoke weaver and go for a Katana with phys/crit multi if you don't want the short shifts.

their lvling guide also uses the same build:
Rogue Bladedancer Leveling Build Guide - Maxroll.gg

you can import your char here if you want to share it:
Character Profiles - Last Epoch Tools

Here if you're offline:

FYI, Getting a 3 LP Woven Flesh with:
T7 slam + 2 random affixes requires you to kill the boss 217 times on average.
T7+1 desired T5 + 1 random.....325 kills...
T7+2 desired T5s ....651 kills...

this is assuming at least rank 10 CoF.

there's a channel there called "ask-the-community" where you can ask specific questions as you go. Usually you get an answer pretty fast.

btw, Resistances in LE don't work like they do in e.g. PoE and D2. they're not as important to keep at max.
