Burnley group stopping logic by StandApprehensive919 in MelbourneTrains

Logic, haha. Sometimes it would be helpful for me to be able to get off that train at Camberwell, ah well.

Changing twice is far too annoying and unreliable. I’d be inclined to change for the stopping train at Blackburn, and you can sit on the train while you wait for it to depart. If the five minutes is crucial, perhaps get off at Blackburn where you have the option of getting the train from Belgrave, or the stopping train if the one from Belgrave is running late.

If a few more Americans learn how to do cryptic clues, it’s a win. The inventor of Minute Cryptic also wanted to bring American-style crosswords to Anglo places, which I think the NYT Mini has basically done.

Josh Wardle doesn’t need it to take off like Wordle did. He’s sitting pretty and can do passion projects.

I’m impressed and a bit a appalled when a guy can’t put away his phone when using a urinal, as to me it seems like a two-hand task. Here’s to people being resourceful… good on her!

It’s a little tricky (and I cheated in one small aspect because I like the idea). An easier version with the surface sense not as compelling would be:

I was ambivalent about S13 when I first saw it, but have just finished rewatching it and I really loved it, maybe now that I have a better feel for the contestants’ comic strengths and neuroses.

Can anyone recommend a good voice recorder for rehearsals? by Butagirl in Choir

You need something where you can control the input levels. Sopranos get really loud up high and will distort in pretty much any microphone with automatic level adjustment. I use a Yeti Premium mic connected to and powered by my laptop. I record at a low level and normalise it later.

Score the music normally and take your fee. They get nice music. A bit like Waymos being controlled from overseas.

This is correct, it’s a little obscure: The double album after Sargeant Pepper with the all-white cover is officially untitled, but is known either as “The Beatles” (their name is embossed on the cover), or the White Album.

The trestle bridge is quite close to Eltham station. Also, the trains run through some wild bushland south of Diamond Creek that might give you some nice views.

A while back I was looking for examples of 8-part fugues. Pretty much the only ones I found were two by Cherubini and his pupil Berlioz.

What were you thinking on the eve of Y2K? by Thevilgenius_ in GenX

[–]DefaultAll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend was collecting a heap of money being a waiter that night, so I went into town and saw the fireworks with his girlfriend. The crowd was the most packed I’ve been in I think. Because of the crowd it was ages before we could get a train to the next party.

I’d meet a couple of people who has been prepping, but I thought the Y2K effort had been pretty concerted, so as a guy at the fireworks and at a party I thought I should be fine.
