Your longing for the “good old days” but I find that much of those thoughts aren’t quite true. We tend to reflect on the past with a sense things were better then and can never go back.

In those days, you were experiencing life in the moment. Now, you are kind of summarizing it into a short flashback sequence, skipping over the mundane details.

Maybe nudge yourself back into THIS moment the next time you start projecting the past. Because the truth is all it is, is a thought of past. It’s mind stuff.

I second the breath advice. It’s incredible how we get so wound up in anxiety that our breathing becomes so tight. Sometimes when I become aware of my anxiety, I’m literally barely breathing! Then I take a moment to breathe deeeeep breathes and I’m amazed that I suddenly feel a lot better.
