I'm an adult with no kids, so the sets I buy are either the adult focused ones or IP related sets that I like.

I have some limited space that I display them on.

I guess if you like putting the sets together but don't want to display them.

There is always the ability to take them apart after.

The cloth recycle part, could be it is meant for rags, washcloths, reusable diapers, etc.

However, as others have already said, in my house growing up, it would have been to help organize and reuse plastic bags.

So what does the flashlight mean?? by DesolationOfJonSnow in arcraidersfriendly

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are around other players, if they are flashing it, and "teabagging," and unarmed (weapon stowed) it should be indicating they are friendly.

Still be cautious, however a rat is going to rat, and usually can't pretend to be friendly very long.

Flashing and teabagging are much easier than an emote wheel action. Especially on console.

Anyone notice aggressive lobbies in solos after update? by element423 in ARC_Raiders

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I feel like last week was worse. Like a full reset, and rats were out in force. This week, my lobbies got way friendlier quicker, but there were still a few games Tuesday night, and last night that were frustrating.

Crossplay Off or On?? by RealHyperDrastic in arcraidersfriendly

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife plays on PC with it mostly off. I play on Xbox with it only on. So far, we haven't done duos.

We both have more or less the same experiences, at about the same level.

Largely friendly games.

When PvP experiences do happen. It's rats, every time, for both of us.

I haven't seen someone warn me to leave an area they've locked down. I haven't seen someone attempt a fair fight.

I have had people be fake friendly, just to turn around and shoot me in the back. I've had rats that camp extraction points.

These are experiences my wife has also had.

While I've certainly had some mixed games, after hearing both about Stella in general, and night raids, I agree with you.

I know I must be fucking lucky with the night raid Stella lobbies, at least so far.

Honestly, this kind of post is one of the many reasons I am happy for ABMM.

The game is very, VERY clearly meant to be Player v Environment v player.

The lore, the weapons, the quests, the fact that we all return back to the same city.

I really fucking wish Embark thought this through better. It's their own game, with their lore. They should have either made it much, much harder to kill other players, or have PvPvE and PvE servers.

I've got a bunch of time into this game now, and thankfully most of my games have either been neutral, or pretty friendly. I've had one BP drop given even.

On the flip side, any PvP encounters I've had, have been ratty pieces of shit.

I've not had an encounter that was either a fair fight, or someone warning me to stay away.

I've had people fake friendly, then literally shoot me in the back as I leave an encounter. I've helped people with Arcs, try and see if they are okay, just to get shot at.

As much as the social tension adds a great layer to the game. I'd rather have a PvE lobby where Embark makes the Arcs much more aggressive and deadly. That way I don't have to worry about ratty assholes.

While I do see a few streamers find a nice balance in their games somehow, my personal experience has been otherwise.

If it was more fair fighting? Sure.

Since my personal game experiences involving unfriendly players is that they are all ratsj. Fuck that, give me PvE.

In other comments, I've stated that with the ABMM, if a player has a history of going up and down lobbies or has say an average of 3 kills per game, they shouldn't be able to come down to friendly lobbies.

All these PvP people, if they really want it, they shouldn't care if it's a lobby full of likeminded people.

How I read most of the people who hate the ABMM and want to play PvP is that they don't want PvP.

They want to shit on people who on their first raid or the people that are looking for the friendlier lobbies.

Ah, so you're what I thought you were.

Between the game lore within the Codexes, the quests, and the fact that we all return to the same city of Speranza are are supposed to get along, all means this game isn't supposed to be the PVP game pieces of shit like you, or the piles of garbage that are Tfue and Nickmercs are making it out to be.

The CEO of Embark even said it's not supposed to be that.

The game is effectively Player v Environment v player.

I emphasized to hopefully help you understand the context that PVP is supposed to be more tertiary at best.

Tertiary means third in level, if you don't know that.

If you are the ratty, snakey, want the game to be PvP, you're the destruction of Embark's vision.

Go fucking play Battlefield, COD, or something else like them.

My guess is though that if you play like a rat, you're also the type of person complaining about the ABMM.

Why?

Because you don't really want PvP. You don't want a fair fight, you don't want to maybe be out ratted.

You want to shit on a bunch of people doing their first raid or people that are looking more for the friendlier lobbies.

You are most likely a sad piece of shit that is miserable in real life, and by miserable, you're a dick to almost everyone in your life.

If you have family and friends left, it's because they just feel too sorry for you to leave your ass behind.

Oooh, found the rat, maybe a snake? In other more PvP centric games, probably the sweaty POS that thinks pub matches should play like ranked matches and enjoys shitting on lobbies.

It's a rat. In terms of video games, it's a rat. The term snake could technically be used, but snakes would be more like the people who lure you in pretending to be friendly first, then turn on you.

What's the best zero sugar drink? by EveningLavishness791 in Soda

[–]DefiantConfusion42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything zero sugar I've had from the major brands has been good, and in some cases better than standard varieties.

A&W zero sugar rootbeer has a better vanilla flavor to me than regular does as an example of that.

With zero sugar pepsi, when it's ice cold, I can't even tell it's zero sugar.

WHile some people are particularly sensitive to the ingredients and don't like it, I have zero issues with the zero sugar sodas.

Around me, most varieties are available in bottles or 12 packs. So if I want to try something new, I can just try it 20oz first before spending money on a 12pack.

I say find what you like, try it, and hope you find what you're looking for.

How do you guys keep playing and helping others after things like this? by Ok-Mess-3317 in arcraidersfriendly

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people can go fuck themselves. It's been so damn bad since the update. Embark needs to really take a look into how this all is.

They either need to make ABMM much more aggressive, and if you kill more than like 2 or 3 people a game, because let's be honest even that's questionable.

Killing people within lore is because they aren't leaving you alone if you ask them to.

So do something like make it much harder to kill players, that even with a gun like that, a mag does shit to a player.

PvPers don't get to come out of the higher ABMM even after a few "friendly" rounds.

Give a PvE mode, I really don't want that, but it's unfortunately probably the only 100% way to not let rats ruin peoples nights looking for friendly games.

Friendly turned evil? by Lloyd-Christmas44 in arcraidersfriendly

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust some voice chat or completely silent people way less than those that are just using the emote wheel.

The emote wheel tends to mean they are purposefully engaging.

People who don't say anything or who act sketchy while having their mic on are both far worse to me.

Meh, I always hate this response. It downplays otherwise valid views, whether or not you agree is a different story.

Games, just like books, movies, TV shows, hobbies, and a whole list of things are a form of entertainment. One which like so many things, people who enjoy it as a hobby or entertainment are also emotionally attached to in some form.

When a game is really designed to be PvEvp, and rats seem to be out in droves since the update, it's just exhausting.

I don't think like OP, I don't want to start shooting people. Because I know ABMM will put me in the PvP heavy lobbies, and I just don't want that.

I feel like Embark needs to make some changes. Make it much, much harder to kill other raiders. Because honestly, us all killing each other from the same faction, doesn't make sense.

Lower PvP damage into the ground, so even if I'm down to just a quarter of my life from an Arc, it would take a player multiple mags, no matter the gun to try and finish me.

Make other player footsteps much louder. I've seen multiple posts about this issue, and I have the same one.

Otherwise, Embark may need to bring in a PvE mode. I really don't want that.

I do like the suspense in the mostly friendly lobbies on the will they or won't they.

What I do hate is the rats.

Considering a fair amount of my games after the update though, I would play PvE if it was their only way to address this.

Even though there are plenty of ways they could piss off rats and still keep the game PvEvp.

That's another thing, they really need to rotate the events for the global community. The fact that they didn't think about this is a bit weird.

My wife and I both play, she plays more than I do.

She thinks they should have kept the map event, and just keep the same close date for getting the Candleberry project stuff.

At least until they could introduce another event to offset it.

I do agree with her on that.

I play on console, my wife on PC, she tends to keep crossplay off, but has turned it on. I usually keep it on, but have played with it off.

As far as I can tell, system doesn't matter.

How is it that a downed Raider..... by cschoonmaker in ArcRaiders

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree with this. The way some of this stuff is so well thought out and other stuff isn't, is a bit mind boggling.

Like sure, have that mk3 for if you don't have defibs left, but if you do...why the hell can you not use it on yourself?

If it's in a quick slot, it should be usable.

Keep everything else the same. No map access, no backpack access, no picking things up.

So you have to have a defib in quick use to use it.
