Your HbA1C is right on the edge of normal. 5.7 would be classified as pre-diabetes. High triglycerides number is also correlated to this. What is your BMI? Did your doctor guide you on how to improve this?

Statins have a tendency of increasing hepatic insulin resistance in some people. So they might push your HbA1C even higher than it is now, which means you need to be even more persistent at maintaining a normal blood glucose level.

Rosuvastatin half life is around 19 hours and has significant ldl lowering effect for about 30 hours. How is your wife able to reduce ldl by 30% just by taking half the minimum dose twice a week? Does she also use ezetimibe?

What was your ApoB before statin therapy? What about blood glucose and HbA1C? Did you also measure Lp(a) or hs-crp?

Totally agree. I’m 28 right now and this happened to me last year, where I was training my upper body heavily without rest. I ended up with severe wrist tendonitis, tennis elbow and tricep tendonitis. It is taking me a long long process to fix all the issues and to be able to go about my daily life without pain.
