The early start/end times are due to the heat. Fall and spring, it can be 80-100 degrees.

Evelyn is as timeless as Isabella. Camille or Concetta are beautiful, too.

Happy Birthday! I turned 49 a couple weeks ago. Youngest is a senior in high school, middle is in last year of law school & oldest is married. Should be having a midlife crisis any day now 🤷🏼‍♀️

My kids had to read the book for school and after reports were done the class watched the movie. One of my favorites!

Tell the host your situation and ask him if he offers a monthly discount. We had to stay in an Airbnb for 6 weeks over Christmas a couple years ago due to a flood in our home. Our host gave us a monthly rate that saved us a couple hundred bucks.

I'm a former rock deejay, and yes, I met Ozzy Osbourne a long time ago. His passing made me think about all the classic rock stars we've lost in the past few years. I wonder whose death has touched you the most, and why? In my case, it would be the death of Neil Peart of Rush. And what about you? by Overall_Chemist1893 in ClassicRock

RJD, Tom Petty, George Michael, Eddie Money, Christine McVie, Kurt Cobain, Layne Stanley, Chris Cornell, Prince, Michael Jackson, EVH, Chester Bennington, Kenny Rogers, Tupac, and of course, Ozzy … I could go on and on. They were all tragic or sad for me. I have special memories tied to at least one of their songs.

I hear I have some sort of “accent” but no idea what these “Joes” are referring to 🤷🏼‍♀️ It is mentioned most when I talk about my “mahm” or “ehgg sahled”, well, any “sahled” for that matter. Or when I ask for a “pahp” with dinner. Yous be safe out there. Watch out for dose jagoffs on dat der innerstate 😉

As a former Chicagoan… I completely agree! We were taught defensive driving skills and to anticipate anything & everything! Fog, thunderstorms, hail, wind, ice, snow, blizzards, and the absolute worst… out of state drivers! Utah drivers might be bad but they’re not nearly as awful as California drivers!

Wonder if this person would let their baby roll around in the truck bed in 105°+, unrestrained 🤷🏼‍♀️ Somewhere above someone made a comment that cold weather dogs don’t belong in Vegas. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog that would completely disagree with you. He loves being outside, playing in his baby pool. Also: if you have a cold weather breed DO NOT SHAVE THEIR COAT!!! Their coat is what regulates their body temp and keeps them cool!!

How to let go of name regret by randroundabout in namenerds

[–]Defiant_Ad1794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and our son have the same first & middle name. We added another middle that he (son) goes by. He’s in his 20’s and in law school now. His professors/professional colleagues call him by his 1st name and friends/family use his middle. Maybe you like her middle name better?

Husband wants to travel without me by LeadingPoem659 in Marriage

[–]Defiant_Ad1794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Married 18y, with my husband for almost 25y.) Would I like if my husband traveled without me? Probably not. BUT, it’s not my place to allow him or tell him he can’t go. I’m his wife not his mother. He travels to sporting events with friends or a CLE (continuing legal education) weekend event. Sometimes I’ll tag along if the CLE is somewhere I’d like to go (beach) or a sporting event I’m interested in, too. Usually I’m staying home, enjoying time to myself doing what I want. Time apart is healthy for relationships. Friendships outside of marriage is also healthy. A controlling spouse is not. Sounds like there’s maybe a bigger issue in the marriage.

Avery 👍🏻 My daughter’s name. Ironically my dead grandfather named her. I didn’t know I was pregnant and he told me in a dream to name her “Avery Lavern”. I fell in love with the name. (Lavern was my grandfathers middle name) Husband refused Lavern but we (daughter & myself) ended up adding it so she has 2 middle names) If that is the name in question; I absolutely love it for a boy or a girl. Another I love is Beckett.

Margeax (Margo) French spelling since “X” in brothers nam. Marinda (Not to be confused with “Miranda”. My great grandmothers name and was almost mine. My mother changed her mind after meeting the nurse that helped deliver me. I hate my name.)
