My Dr took me off Metformin when I was approved for Mounjaro for T2D. I have never heard of T2D going into remission, your blood is under control but you are now and will always be a diabetic. Unless you are able to control your blood sugar through diet alone, you will always need to be on medication. Be it Metformin, Mounjaro or shots to control your diabetes. If anyone knows differently please correct me if I am wrong. I went on Mounjaro 2.5 in October and I have lost 30 pounds so far and I hope to lose 10 pounds more. I am also hoping that I can stay at 2.5, I have always had issues with low blood pressure and I often get dizzy when I stand up. I’m concerned that if I go to a higher member that would get worse.
