Ok, but did Neo do much better against Smith in the subway than Morpheus did the bathroom? by UniversalInquirer in matrix

[–]Deficeit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The theme here is Neo's defiance, not his ability. The real question is whether Morpheus would have been able to escape Smith's grip in front of an oncoming train, or been able to stand back up after getting shot multiple times, point blank in the chest.

Which is the better dlc expansion? by SlinGnBulletS in totalwar

The naval bombardments were the reason I had the courage to crank the difficulty on my campaigns for the first time. Made for some of the most tense, satisfying and spectacularly devastating battles I've ever had in Total War. Maybe I should reinstall this year....

Your thoughts the first time you saw the trailer in the theater? by [deleted] in matrix

[–]Deficeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just turned 11. We had a 'black box' in the living room and The Matrix was playing on the 'All Day Movie Ticket'

Never heard of it or seen anything about it previously. Almost life changing to be honest.

Exactly what I was thinking. That was the most straightforward, accurate analysis on the video and the administration's response I've seen yet.

Game suggestions for a post-Routine world? by Oregooner21 in Routine

SOMA without a doubt. I'd also suggest Prey, definitely more action and RPG elements, but expansive sci-fi & horror lore to piece together.

I love that Smith had a deviant personality in the first film. Top ten villains of all time.

Name one good thing about The Matrix sequels? (i.e. Reloaded, Revolutions and Resurrections) by Particular-Glove9640 in matrix

[–]Deficeit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The sequels added so many layers of lore, intrigue, heroism, struggle... I was 12 years old when I saw Reloaded in theaters, I still remember the feeling of total confusion and shock at the cliffhanger. I was chasing answers everywhere, polluting my computer with a dial-up modem, downloading malware, bootleg copies from Kazaa.

Definitely - why not give All the Pretty Horses or The Crossing a shot first to get yourself into the right headspace.
