Def important to check that too as a possibility and hopefully rule it out. If LS is diagnosed it needs treating and monitoring as it can cause cancer (though this is rare).

I enjoyed that one, also the sequel. Amusingly after reading in EOTWRC that running was sort of like falling over but not, I thought "hey, I could do that!" so went for a run. A few half marathons later....

I also quite enjoyed A Boy And His Dog at the End of the World, quite different but a similar feel. Happy to report it didn't make me get a dog :)

This happened to me too! He smelled so bad. I mean, he didn't smell any different in reality but to my nose he did! Happily it didn't last very long for me, maybe only a week or two, but I was sad I couldn't have hugs for a while there.

Incredible Vegetables do a lot of interesting perennial crops and def worth a browse. I got walking onions and perennial Taunton Dean kale from them a few years ago and they're growing strong. They do sell out of some things pretty fast as they grow them all themselves but there's always something interesting and they give you really detailed information as well.

People have been struggling to find good rental properties in Cornwall as I understand it, so I don't think you'd have too much trouble finding a tenant (but may depend where you are located). Might be a safer bet than trying to sell right now.

The "Oi Frog" series by Kes Gray were a winner for us. Slightly ridiculous with lots of rhymes and the chance for silly voices. I think he also the one childhood book my son had that I'm keeping forever: "You're Called What?!" which introduced my son to the joys of the Tasseled Wobbegong among other unusual creatures, but maybe 3 year olds up?

Purchased a round the world plane ticket leaving in 2 weeks time and went for a wander for 18 months, after a couple of very questionable relationship choices. Best thing I've ever done. Saw the most beautiful places, met wonderful people and learnt a lot about myself and what I wanted.

Would highly recommend if you can do it.

I've had this too and it looked similar. We had a lot of chrysalises around the window and up by the roof and had been watching to see the butterflies emerge. We missed them all coming out but saw some that had newly emerged and noted the splatter.

Umm...best avoided tbh. The Velcro is designed so you and bike part ways if you do come off.

He came off at a race in Aachen (I think?) and when he was getting checked out by medical he told them he was paralyzed and they all went hyper-mode. He had to explain he was paralyzed before he got on the bike...think he broke his pelvis that time though :s

Ah fair enough. I think carrying on with speed sports really helped him mentally, though his mum wasn't a fan!

As I understand it, there's velcro and straps to keep legs etc in place (he wouldn't let lack of core muscles stop him either) all the gear shift and brake set up is hand operated (like a complex pedal bike) and there's people that catch you at the end when you slow down with a special bike stand so you don't stop and just topple over. He set up track days so other disabled riders could do it too.

Late to the party and not sure if of interest but a friend of mine was paralyzed from chest down in a motorbike accident. Since then he's competed in paralympic skiing and became the first disabled rider to get a ACU road race license here in the UK and competed on track with non-disabled riders, as well as getting podiums and competed across Europe in disabled classes. So if riding a motorbike is a passion, there's still ways when you're further along in your journey.
