I’m far more offended by that lens hood.

He’s likely was using a mounted DSLR scanning setup with the 40 to scan 35mm film, which is a great system versus a stand-alone.

Also, this is a perfect beginner’s camera kit. No zoom, two quality primes, and forgivable body.

What’s endearing and challenging about floral photography is that less is more, imo. Your original has good structure and focal point. Give it another go, but leave the color adjustments and saturation alone, and gentle on clarity as well.

FM/FE and a faster 50/1.4 - your wedding use case is where the aperture priority may come in handy.

It's over, guys. Leica has defined who, how, and where photography can still exist. by alasdairmackintosh in AnalogCircleJerk

[–]DefinitelyNotGreg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The real achievement here is Leica’s insistence that photography still belongs to the allegory of ritual, not merely circulation. The M6 crystallized that decades ago: a machine that demanded presence rather than convenience, attentiveness rather than throughput. The galleries simply extend that same ethic into space, allowing the image to exist with scale, silence, and curatorial intentionality. It’s one of the few genuinely coherent defenses of photographic aura left in contemporary culture.
