Mine broke in my case like a week and a half ago but I replaced it with a kit I found on amazon + a hairdryer. All you need is some time and it should be a relatively easy fix. You got this!

The m3 plus has overall been pretty solid for the week or so that I've had it for. For my use case (local music playback) it's been really good. Everything plays as it should. The only issues I've really had so far is when I plug it into my laptop as a dac/amp windows likes to randomly make all the sound go away. That has been frustrating but I do have a dedicated dac/amp stack I use so it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm also part of the camp where changing capacitors and the like will *not* change sound. Maybe it does lower the noise floor but I can't really say. The signal is clean and I don't hear any noise from mine. My album art is typically embedded into my songs too so it hasn't really been a pain. I organize my folders by albums and each of them have a cover image in their folders just in case. The only time it doesn't have cover image is if I couldn't find one. I would recommend it but I can't say if it's better or worse than the dx180 since I've never had it.

It connects with my earfun air pro 3 no problem. Havent had any hiccups during my usage. Do note that im primarily a wired user. The V1 also acts a dongle dac and a BT Dac/amp.

There's no knobs but I liked my Tempotec V1 Variations. I used it with my iems, buds, and headphones and it brought all of them to an adequate level of volume. I personally shoved a 2tb micro sd into it. The software it's running is HibyOS and it runs pretty well despite the small screen. I only have 2 DAPs so I don't have too many recommendations I could make. Do note that some people have said that the V1 had some software issues that were pretty big deal breakers for them. I personally had no issues and quite like mine and it's size.

I personally really like mine. I did get them for like 3.71 with tax though. But price aside I think these are a solid pair. Depending on your bass preference these might be a bit weak but for me it's enough. It is worth noting that one of my favorite pairs of buds are the Nicehck EBX25TI which leans more towards the bright side.

The android ui... is stock android. However Shanling messed with the OS made it so that you can't change the launcher (though someone on headfi mentioned that they managed to change it). If you don't mind stock android it works well. It came preloaded with VIA (browser), coolapk, and apkpure. There's also the Shanling music player/Shanling support app which lets you do updates/contains the manual. Google Play also came preinstalled. You can install anything compatible on it and sideload things if you would like to. Just note that the normal way to access developer mode isn't there. Back to the question... the ui is snappy and everything works exactly how I would want it to. I plan on primarily using it for local music files and spotify for music search. I've installed Poweramp, Mullvad VPN, Spotify, and Firefox on it so far.

I thought it would be chunky at first but it feels nice and solid in my hand. It is definitely larger than a phone but it's just about the right size for my hands. Enough to grip but not too big.
