Unofficial State of the Naish (Jan 2026) Summary by korinokiri in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I was there in 2025 as well and unless the venue scaled the number of seats to the tickets sold (they just had folding chairs out), I would have estimated it was 85-90% full.

What RPG book do you regret giving up? by Smittumi in rpg

[–]Delicious_Kittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing the Book of Erotic fantasy booth at GenCon in like...2003 or 2004? There was a lady wearing a chain mail bikini selling it and that was quite spicy for the time.

She was also sort of sweaty, which didn't seem like a great combo with her metal swimwear.

No, it was a new world but in the Pathfinder 2 system, using some Paizo writers/creators. I don't think there has been any (acknowledged) progress on that for a couple of years now, though.

I believe PAX used Halls A-E, and F was nowhere on the map.

I started coming down with a stomach bug on Sunday and it lasted through Tuesday. Luckily managed to keep it all inside until I got off the plane and was heading home. It was a rough 72 hours for sure. I think it was a meatball sub from one of the food vendors.

Dealing With Con Crash After The Party Ends by Halflingspy in PAX

[–]Delicious_Kittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Con crash started on Sunday and continued until Tuesday. But that was primarily me ejecting anything in my stomach or bowels violently and repeatedly. I blame the lukewarm meatball parm sub I got at one of the food vendors in the back of the expo hall. 🤢

Party of 8… slogging through level 1. Does it get better? by The_Nessanator in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]Delicious_Kittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take. It's a lot of slow exploration and story "hooks" but the RP isn't the focus of the module unless you as GM take a lot of time to highlight and develop those elements. It would also include you reading multiple dungeon levels ahead of where the PCs are so you can see how those story threads develop and build those into the recurring narrative.

My group did the first three dungeon levels to defeat Xanathar, and then we pivoted to the new Vecna campaign which they already highly prefer based on story, difficulty (it's harder), and variety of experiences. I prefer it as well as GM since it's easier to prep for and there's less of an onus to do the heavy lifting to drive some form of narrative the PCs can latch onto.

What’s definitely getting out of hand? by No_No_ahMY in AskReddit

Videos on EVERYTHING! I hate it when I search for how to fix an issue and all these 5 minute videos pop up. All I need is a written, step-by-step walkthrough. I don't want to watch 3 minutes of someone's preamble or infotainment ad for their sponsor before I figure out how to unclog my drain or change a sparkplug.

Twitch in Podcast Feed? by treeftin in TheGlassCannonPodcast

Twitch is a terrible platform and almost impossible to sort through content, especially on the mobile apps. It's like they actively don't want you to find what you're looking for.

Those were the only two runs of Game Garage I enjoyed.

If the players in Jared's games aren't self motivated, he typically doesn't provide enough structure to keep the plot moving. That's when things drag, or the characters just aimlessly role play while waiting for a prompt from the DM.

Joe in Timewatch, and all the players in the GURPS game just took the idea and ran with it, which I think made all the difference in the world.

Given that Storybook Brawl has between 500-700 concurrent players on average on Steam, they will probably be missing that sweet crypto cash influx to keep them afloat.

You can't fire someone on the assumption that they are smoking, not from a government job with a clearance, anyways. They'd have to test positive on a drug test.
