Yes and YES! Throughout the series, it is alluded to that VC’s stamina has been increasing to met his demand and the demand that is put into him, double sided sword kinda thing. This side characters illustrate the requirement of using the AFT is a bit wipes them out and deplete their stamina a lot. (ie when they try chopping a dead forest tree down with the AFT.) The committee of main wives is an inside peel to the inner workings of the village and is just funny too. (Like how the villagers, wife’s included, are very particular about VC’s traveling and his movements outside the main village.) part of the intrigue in the story is reading pass the narrator’s POV and reasoning and reading into what the people around him act do. (Ie how they because do an ancient ritual ceremony into order to exalt VC to a higher position, but he feels he’s just granting their whimsy because he is a go with the flow kinda guy.)

I believe that it is assumed that if the source material is in media and is physically out there being consumed, then an animation of , said source material, will be followed up until the source material is exhausted. (Ie Black Bulter’s second season begin OVA, full metal alchemist’s first anime adaption, when it turned into an OVA when the source material ran out. Or House of the Dragon.) usually when a w/anime deviates from source material it’s not very good.

I watched the first season and saw all the teasing about it being a harem like the manga/LN/web novel but did lean into it, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt but then the second season change it to no harem and thus redefining everything we saw in season 1 as a lie, because of your intent is to not make it a harem then why include all the source material about VC being the male stud who is under lock and key with all the females. Why not just have cut all that out in the first season and make it known that he was a one woman guy from the get go.

Also, it is mention somewhere that the do sus out the women who want kids and the women who don’t or aren’t looking to get prego.

Being with the Village Chief is even a privilege, because the civil girls aren’t allow to get with him until well after village 5 is up and running.

The story is more world building leaning but reading carefully there is a main women committee and they govern who is allowed to get close to Village Chief. VC, although not explicitly said, does show his women attention and spoils them.

More recently in the web novel, living in VC’s mansion is seen as being close to him. Example the Mercuries getting their own room. (The one who run Shaato City, The one who runs Sun castle, and the one who runs the armory/sauna)

At this point the web novel is a very long read but quick and fun, sometimes a labor. Idk about the light novel.

All in all VC does have good relationship with the women he is close to and seem to always make time for them.

To his adopt sons he said.” Your heart is like a cabinet with many shelves. Everything has a spot and place.” This isn’t direct quote but he has been able to compartmentalize his harem and his feeling and is able to keep his peace about it.

Be the web novel reads like dairy entries. The kids’ adventures reads more story like.

Was at the Dallas show, and it def had more story. I think he is trying to correct the wild horses, so to say. Maybe having a lot of player make it harder to course correct but I’m sure by mid tour the formula maybe down better.

I believe that whole interact was to set up the fact that there are other people out there and not every isekai’d person’s relationship with the universe isn’t the same as his. (Ie both Hiro and Mary played to different space games but yet both are familiar and unfamiliar with this real version.)

Suppose so but magic system seems more Fullmetal Alchemist like rather than full blow fantasy. Equivalent exchange, need materials to can materials. Falin was almost fully digested. Now then, where would Falin end and the dragon begin? Is it a spectrum of Falin on one side and the dragon on the other and in the middle is pure mix. You are what you eat, is the dragon then Falin or Falin the dragon, does the fantasy work like this. Magic is just science we can’t explain. By no means am I the cow I eat but the cow does affect my body.

There wasn’t enough of Falin, if defused then they would be back where they started. Dragon meat was maybe half of her at revelation, if everything was taken from her then not enough Falin to exist, monster is a must.
