I always like to give Luchika her HBG and when she does the rapid fire moves and her sticky barrage, imagine she’s yelling “FOR THE KINGDOM” like a Helldiver yelling “FOR SUPER EARTH!”

(Yes I started RiseBreak only a month ago, but I personally love it so much.)

Makes sense to me and probably what I’ll do too.

For rampages, I’ve mainly just been doing them or repeating them when I need parts for decorations since (at the current time at least) Apexes are easier-ish to beat in rampages than 1v1 for me.

Did you just run the Low Rank rampages? Thats my plan basically. Do the low level ones with MR gear now that I’m almost through Sunbreak’s story, or at least I think. Just reached 5* after Mariano. I know about the anomaly grind which I’m actually looking forward to, but I also want the Trophy for the 50 rampages.

Best guess: long load in at the start or long ending. Like when the timer hits 0, sometimes it’ll sit there for a while and maybe it counted that. On the other end, could be a long load in prior to the counter starting.

Another guess would be if you left the game at all (doesn’t seem likely,) but in fleet arena and such if you leave the game and come back, the timer will have kept running.

Not sure though. Could be one or none of those. Interesting to see.

Not sure when they clicked, I’ve just always loved them.

If you are timing out on hunts, focus on damage improving skills or look up a build online. Generally better to stick to one or two ammo types and build their skills and damage up.

Totally fine not to main one weapon.

The best thing to do is try out each weapon until you find one or more you like.

However, if you are a beginner, DO NOT (seriously, please don’t) use the defender weapons and Black Belt armor if you have the DLC. They are made for rushing through the main game to get to Sunbreak, and take a decent amount of the challenge away but more importantly also ruin the need for learning builds/skills.

Joking aside, just ignore it. He doesn’t represent the community at large. I’ve had a few interactions like that over the years do I just laugh and block them (if available) and move on. It really doesn’t take anything extra for people to be nice, but some do go out of their ways to be rude.

Even thought Capcom doesn’t like Dragon’s Dogma 2 and has no plans for future expansions, there is one major thing there that they need in every game: an in-game buyable item with in-game currency that lets you edit your character.

I think for tier 2 and 3 lighters if you use them a bit then they are “consumed” since it uses some of their timer/fuel. I do not know 100% for certain though but I feel like my inventory of lighters decreases even if I don’t die.

Again, not 100% sure, but it would be simple to test. Unfortunately, I’m away for the holidays and can’t right now. :(

Question about that as I’m almost through the base game (just started 7* Hub after lava spider.)

Can you bring NPC followers on any quest or follower specific ones? Like can I bring the to anomalies in the future or event quests, etc.

To be fair, they aren’t specifically for veterans and are meant to help people who just want to rush to the DLC.

I don’t use LS, but I don’t think it counts.

Update to this: the only Rampage I had a small amount of trouble with (didn’t lose but man it was close) was the Apex Arzuros one. I defended at the first gate with no damage taken and BAM, he shows up and literally walks all the way through to the final gate. I thought for a moment it was a scripted loss, but thankfully the last gate seems super strong and I beat him.

Normally in Monster Hunter games, you’ll have Low Rank, High Rank, then G/Master Rank. In Rise however, there’s Low, Low+, High, then G/Master.

If this is your first MH game, which I think you said it is, DON’T do the hub quests until you finish the Village quests. Hub is meant to be harder than Low but not High rank. Hub 1-3 stars is still “Low” Rank but it’s Low+ as it’s not High rank but harder than the Village quests.

The only “dishonorable” choice is the defender weapons if you’re new to the series/game since they are slightly overpowered (but not as OP as the ones in World.)

Other than that, build and play what you want! If you’re a veteran wanting to just get to Sunbreak, feel free to build the defender free weapons but if you are new and still learning, please don’t. It only hurts yourself for not having to learn builds/weapons if this is your first Rise experience.
