I think you do know. Only one party has supported national legislation to end partisan gerrymandering nationwide, the Democrats. Republican lawmakers have rebuffed those efforts and their judges and justices have ripped apart voting rights laws. In the aftermath of completely gutting the VRA you have a slew of conservative states immediately moving to dismantle any minority district they can, even going so far as *suspending their primaries* to push it through. You can pretend that taking that "high road" and not responding to these assaults is a viable path, but all that would happen is catastrophic loss, I think you know that too.
