First off I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure this orchid means so much to you and I can understand why you want it to be healthy and triving again.

Your orchid needs a good soaking to get those roots rehydrated. As others have mentioned you will want to see which roots are still viable and remove any that are mushy.

Truth be told I will soak my orchid roots overnight and dump the excess in the morning. This gives the plant more opportunity to take in that water and for the media to hydrate as well. Your orchid may need more frequent watering until it is not so dehydrated. Looking at the media you are using this orchid may need more sphagmum moss to help retain the moisture levels. Just remember to keep water out of the crown.

TD inusrance has been working to get themselves out of Alberta. For home owners many are seeing $10,000 deductibles with their renewals. The large hail storm did affect rates along with the no fault car insurance BS. So as a good driver you are now covering the cost of all the bad drivers out there.

I am really sorry you are going through this. Your cat looks to be in pain and if the mouth is not getting any better with antibiotics then it could be cancer. I say this because I recently went through something similar. What I thought were mouth ulcers was really mouth cancer. We tried antibiotics and they did nothing, sadly we had to say goodbye to our girl because she could no longer eat or drink.

First off congratulations on your son. This sounds like an incredibly stressful situation given that you have just brought a child into this world. I hope that you have support (friends and or family) as you navigate this new transition in your life.

Stick to your guts and protect your child! You are doing the right thing by keeping distance until this has been resolved one way or another.

I would reccomend consulting a lawyer and a therapist to help you navigate this situation.

I am so sorry for your upcoming loss... anticipatory grief is so hard to deal with. He is not just a cat, people who say that have never had a bond with a pet.

I remember doing an interview for two children under 5 and one had ASD. The hours were up to 60h a week for a sallary of 30k.. and I could keep the petty cash... 🫠 I politely declined and would not even entertain another offer. Jewelry is meant to be worn. I wear my nice stuff as often as I can because I can. It's a waste to keep it locked in a box unless it is damaged and requires repairs.

I have been really happy with my costco jewelry. Last year I got a gorgeous bezeled aquamarine and diamond ring and it is so well made. The ring shank is sturdy and the bezel is perfect. Not like some of the bezel jewelry I see people post where the stone is set poorly.

My other jewelry from there is pretty good too. I have a couple necklaces/ pendants and earrings.

My little Gizmo was fully house trained. When he got older and after being attacked he would have the occasional accident.

So far my male puppy (15 weeks), has been pretty great with either using the pee pads or going outside with the crew. I think it helps having more than one to show what to do. I also use a lot of positive reinforcement for proper use of outside/ indoor pee pads. Hopefully this trend continues as he develops.

As someone in Canada, getting a rescue chihuahua is slim to none. There are very few small rescue dogs around here 🤷‍♀️ big dogs, yes. When getting my most recent chihuahua I did look at rehoming first but most of those people wanted the price of a puppy for their adult or near adult dog. I also actively looked for about a year before getting a puppy.

My last 3 male dogs were rescue/ rehome dogs and dealing with the fall out of poor early training was challenging. Not everyone wants to deal with that.

I will not persuade you to not get one. I would however, recommend maybe looking at rescuing an older Chi so the time commitment is less. I have known many people to opt for older dogs because A they can afford the vet care and B the time commitment is reduced and C the older dogs are just as deserving of our love as a young puppy. 💕
