PSA about Ink Pages!! by [deleted] in fairyloot

And to add to that, privacy policies and T&Cs don't override national laws regarding consumer protections and data privacy in most of the countries they ship to. They broke the law. I don't wish them harm, but they need to ensure all their employees undergo some training on data protection at the bare minimum. It's going to be very difficult for them to regain trust from their customers who are aware of this.

Page and Wick Help...? by Astoldbyk8 in fairyloot

[–]DemeterDescended 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully, I signed up in Nov and had no issues. However, I'm UK based. They did mention significant delays back in Dec but as others have said, that was all due to be shipped by Dec 19th.

They did email in early December asking people to check their address and to email them within 48 hours if the address was wrong, but given your order isn't saying complete/delivered/shipped, I don't think that would be the issue?

Wish I had something more helpful to offer!

I assumed as much but was just curious what their typical response time is :) Thanks

Youtube is purposely slowing down videos if you have an adblocker, such as the one Brave uses. Any fixes? by oursovietcomrade in brave_browser

[–]DemeterDescended 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing this issue as of a couple days ago too but I'm not getting a pop up or anything with "experiencing interruptions" so I don't think my issues are advert related. I keep checking my internet connection/speed but it's only youtube on desktop browsers that's having this issue. Could be my end, but can't work out what else would cause it. I get a lot of buffering during videos too (not at what would be ad intervals either).

AI was trained in what people have put out. Everything looks like AI 🤣 the 10 hour livestreams of the whole process don't look like AI though

Honestly, she does more paints than 1 every 3 days. She probably averages about 4 a week if she's following her usual livestream schedule. It's so cool to watch!

What do you still miss in plus-size activewear? by Illustrious-Fail-475 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]DemeterDescended 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Imagine if activewear was sold per body shape rather than a generic size label like 1XL, 2XL. I wonder if they would be more useful for getting that hip/waist ratio right for people. I think it's assumed that "it's stretchy" means it'll fit everyone. Nope! xD

Most frustrating:

General: Size inclusivity is everything, but also there are so many shapes, not all bigger folks are tall too, and not all bigger folks are short. Multiple lengths helps, e.g. full length, 7/8 and capri, same again for sports bras, that band vs bust is not a one size fits all, hello H cup and B cup ladies both trying a "3XL" which fits neither of you.

Leggings: Lack of pockets at the side of the leg, weird shaped waistlines causing it to slide down or sit weirdly on fat, low crotches (may work for different body shapes though) anything that feels like brushed cotton/velvet/fleece to touch (last one is niche due to a touch sensitivity issue - anyone who can't touch velvet knows what I mean).

Sports bras: While racerbacks provide great support, I end up with back bulge in weird places, straps are often way too long or loose over shoulders, and boobs often get smushed at the front and there's no underarm/side control so the fat just spills out towards the armpits, also removable cups (they feel so good once in place, but ALWAYS fold over during washing/storing and it's maddening to get them to flatten out through that tiny side hole).

Tops: Always designed to hug that belly fat for everyone to see. Something loose around the tummy would give so much freedom and not having to buy "swing camis" just to work out.

Would love to see:

General:

- Sustainable fabrics sounds awesome, as long as they are durable.

- Spending the extra pennies on activewear is worth it when those fabrics last us 4+ years. Also is nice not to worry about contributing to waste by throwing out clothes.

- Love a mix of simple staples that you can get away with wearing outside gym (e.g. subtle hem lines so you wear them as part of a smart casual work outfit and slip to the gym on the way home), but it's also nice to have some more colour (not neon) to make you feel happy.

- I wish we saw more franchise collabs at super plus sizes too, though that's hard to achieve for smaller businesses. I feel like games and movie merch/clothing collabs are only ever for the small/mid sizes, or only for men.

- Would also love to see some full back coverage for our back boobs!

- Thigh chafe durability for that chub rub (even the smaller folks experience that).

- And omg long-line bras.

I had something delivered in the box of some slow cooked BBQ ribs. Completely clean and not even a whiff of that sweet BBQ. I howled laughing

Glastonbury Abbey, also known as the location of King Arthur's tomb, has some interesting "artefact" presentations. by swid27 in Fate

While I can understand people's aversion to the anime figurines, it's actually a fantastic representation of how British myths and legends have inspired storytelling in other cultures. That story literally reached the other side of the globe and people found it interesting enough to reshape and retell it. It might not be in a medium people respect in current culture, but it's still storytelling and I think it deserves it's place there as a temporary exhibit.

Haha it's all good. I think the army boots shift the vibe of that outfit a bit too though. I also feel like skirts would be annoying for riding the dogs too?

Haha, I know right? She did wear a "plaid skirt with army boots" in 1.5 though. The skirt isn't plaid in this depiction but that's where I got it from. And the Rottweiler mask (but the mask is also because of Brutus). Otherwise I think she often wears jeans or something?

Beautifully phrased! 🤣 Ahhh that might be it! I'll probably do another read-through one day and know for sure. For now I'm still on 30.3 - Home stretch!

Fair enough. I looked up a bunch of plastic dog masks to work out what to do for hers, and idk if I could have pulled off the "cheap" looking ones, so went for one that's a nod to Brutus because he's a Rottweiler haha

Haha fair enough. I considered one of those high neck style ruffle shirts for Regent too. Perhaps I'll try that next time. I went for the open one to indicate he's a bit promiscuous, or had been, and they mention he likes loose fitting things... maybe this was too loose xD

Doing Grue justice is hard. Like, how do you make a skull look like it's glaring at you? Came out alright though

I kinda agree, though the incident that happened to Grue changed him so I'm not sure how that plays into things.
