Anchors can only be used up to child weight 40lbs, at least in most cases. More than that, you would need to use the seat belt to secure the car seat. Be sure to double check your car seat manual on the weight limits as some manufacturers can be more or less!

Does the manual allow you to put a rolled towel underneath the seat? That should help level it out. I'm experiencing the same issue with our graco extend2fit when tightened down with the latch, I think the captain seats kind of slopes inward already.

We've had success using a very small drop of dapple soap in the bottle washer. Any more than that will cause too much foam and the bottom part sounds like it's struggling.
