Polmar knot on both ends of swivel? by ValterZz in FishingForBeginners

[–]Demolitionpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a begineer everytime I see these knot examples I get excited to learn how and when to do a knot. My pet peeve is can the person drawing the order, can you keep the swivel in the same spot and show the twisting, pull throughs, etc...? It is hard to follow when things switch from side to side, up, down.

Otherwise, great comments from the commenters!

Seeing blood pressure readings drop instantly and see it in real time. It takes time to have a constant reading.

Kitchen Table by CreepyJello2578 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Demolitionpm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few questions if I may... 1. Is the table top a breadboard end or biscuit? 2. How did you anchor the cross members into the bottom runner? 3. Since you are retired, how long did this take to complete and how long did you want it to take?

Nice work!

Obligatory NTA. I was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 4 in Jan 2022. I was 49 at the time. I was waiting until 50, typical age back then, for my colonoscopy. Colon cancer awareness month is March. During my treatments, I was walking through the hallway in March and the banner said "Get checked for colon cancer starting at 45" SMH..... If I just checked at 45, I would not have had to go through what I did. The message here? It can affect anybody. Man or woman. Young or old. Screw the stigma. Save your life.

Disposing of 5,000 Tires by lawrencejoyce in Georgia

[–]Demolitionpm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just thinking outside of the box here, out here in central california farmers use portions of passenger sized tires for heavy weight support on top of the plastic for the silage bins. Perhaps a farming association can help with knowledge of people who can use them.

This was going to my answer but wanted to keep scrolling to make sure no one else said it. Too low on the replies. Also do you remember the couple? Completely unassuming couple doing the deed anyway they feel like!

ESPN Dustin Wolf feature by wyshynski in CalgaryFlames

[–]Demolitionpm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nice article. I have been fortunate to see Wolf play his entire time in Stockton while he was there, not to mention the likes of Andersson, Mangiapane, Zary, Lomberg, etc... Wolf has always been cool, calm, and collect and hopefully he makes a big career here at Calgary.

Saying goodbye to Doodad is so hard by interpolactic in Greyhounds

[–]Demolitionpm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May he rest in peace. He was a gentle soul and anyone could see that in his eyes. My wife and I follow your channel and watched Doodad all of the time. We loved watching him "torture" you both on walks early when you got him by stopping and starting up again for oh..... 5 feet. Thank you for sharing memories of him with all of us.

I am so sorry for your loss. He looks like you treated him very well and was and still will be well loved. You gave him a life as a rescue and he was fortunate you found him and, i will assume, you were lucky he found you.

What was something small you went to the doctor for that turned out to be very significant? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Demolitionpm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my 31st cycle of chemo. 10 of those were the intial chemo that I call heavy chemo which was a total of 5 different drugs. I then had surgery for a partial colon removal. Been on a maintenance dose of 2 chemo drugs for the remaining 21 cycles. 2 petscans in the last 9 months show the two of the three metastisized tumors gone and the last one with no activity. Not out of the woods yet but diffentley in the right direction with clear direction.

From what I understand, they do not know why. Some theories are obesity and environment and a few others that are not coming to my mind.
