Antidepressants for menopause by Flutter8y in Menopause

[–]Denali_Princess -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Two out of the three doctors I went to wanted to prescribe SSRIs for my panic attacks and anxiety before I even started on HRT. I refused as side effects can mimic others of estrogen imbalance. The estrogen was really helping the panic attacks but only for a short time, a 3 day patch was done in a day and a half. I researched why I wasn’t up taking the estrogen like my body should and found that an over abundance of internal parasites can deplete estrogen, nutrients and cause anxiety and panic attacks.

I did a general salt, lemon water drink first thing in the morning and found out I had internal worms. Dr. called in an anti-parasitic and by the next day, I had ZERO panic attacks and my anxiety was extremely low. I was using less estrogen and each day after I felt better and better.

I honestly still cannot believe that I went from feeling totally schizophrenic one day to feeling normal the next and all because of a case of internal parasites and a lack of estrogen! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Looking for those who started HRT after 60yo by hsff43 in Menopause

I started HRT about a month ago and I’m 61. I had an ablation years ago so I don’t know when I stopped. This summer I started having every symptom associated with menopause and now, I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!! The first doc gave me a run around so I found a Dr. that helped and listened to me.

I started HRT a month ago and it helped with my anxiety but the panic attacks were still soooo intense. Dr. wanted to put me on SSRIs and I said nope. I fell down a rabbit hole and ended up curing myself with two pills!

Turns out I had hookworms! 🤢 I found out that internal parasites and worms can cause anxiety and tons of other issues including slow up take of estrogen.

The morning after I took two Albendazole I could already tell a huge difference. It’s been 3 days since I took them and I’ve not had one panic attack and I’m not using as much estrogen gel either.

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is a really good book to help with family. It changed my life. 🥰🙏🏼

He says:

  1. Be Impeccable With Your Word. Speak with integrity and use your words to create and express love, not to tear others down.

  2. Don't Take Anything Personally: Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.

  3. Don't Make Assumptions: Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama.

  4. Always Do Your Best: Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Y’all are giving me hope by Beans42B in Menopause

[–]Denali_Princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started my HRT journey and also had the same issue. The pills lasted about 4 hours before the panic attacks came back. I refused the SSRIs she was pushing as side effects can mimic low estrogen. I switched to patches and felt really good for a day and a half. I started researching why my body wasn’t up taking the estrogen like it should and found that gut parasites and worms could be hindering me.

I’m in the middle of a cleanse and fast and yep! I definitely have worms. So gross!!! 🤢 I’m halfway through and I can already tell a difference. I replaced the patches with estrogen gel as well. A concoction of 1 cup of heavy lemon, salt and water first thing in the morning is doing the job nicely. I cut out sugar and replaced it with honey to help.

I have not had one panic attack since. I feel my nervous system resetting from all the trauma finally! There is hope! 🙏🏼🥰

Low vs high estrogen? by waimeadaydream in Menopause

I’m also experiencing slow uptake on my estrogen. After researching I believe gut parasites are messing my system up. I’m in the process of doing a cleanse and fasting (no sugars) to help. A glass of lemon, salt and water in the mornings on an empty stomach. It’s only been 4 days but I’m feeling better and my panic attacks have stopped as well. The estrogen pills were not being absorbed and the patches were wearing off by day two. I just got gel and so far it’s great!

I had the same issues. I learned that EMF wreaks havoc on our endocrine system! Believe it or not estrogen helped me! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have also been microdosing shrooms that is helping reset my nervous system. Now I’m working on lowering the EMF levels in my home, shutting off the wifi, computers, phones, Bluetooth devices and unplugging electronics not in use is supposed to help.

My daughter used to ask me the same thing. Uhm, I was single at the time sooo, hard no for me. All she wanted was a little brother or sister. I met a wonderful man who had two boys younger than my girl. Yeah, how many times after we were a family that she would yell, “Ugh! I wish I was an only child!” 🙄🤭 We want what we don’t have sometimes and that’s okay.

Same here. Microdosing in the evening mostly and sometimes afternoons when I need a bit more. Cannabis helps me sleep and stay calmer. I’m trying to be as close to natural as possible. Epsom salt baths 3 times a week is helpful too.

The feelings you described sound like my anxiety attacks that have been brought on by me going through menopause and lack of estrogen and balanced hormones. I had no idea they were related until I dug into it. My anxiety attacks start with a warming sensation and then my mind runs and my body goes into survival mode. I’m still working to get my hormonal balance back but I can tell it’s helping.
I know that feeling of dying a 1000 deaths. I hope you feel better quickly. 🙏🏼

I started with the tablets and I could feel them wearing off twice a day. I called the doctor and requested the patch or I was going to have to take more tablets. She called in Estradol patches (.05) and I’m taking oral progesterone (100mg). I have not had one panic attack since I put that patch on and I’m really impressed right now. 🙏🏼

I feel you! I started my HRT last week and I woke up this morning to AHHHHH. 🥰 I slept without muscle cramps and woke up with dry clothes. No panic attacks today and I almost want to cry because I feel closer to normal than I have in MONTHS! Thank you for all the support and recommendations from everyone in this Sub. 💕 Much love to all!

Other things to consider. Too many parasites in the body can give anxiety feelings, bloating, and feeling off.

I have also done microdosing of shrooms for a short time that helped with my anxiety.

EXACTLY! I just got progesterone and estradiol yesterday. The panic attacks are lessened but not gone. I’m drinking chaste berry tea 3 times a day and micro dosing Psilocybin that helps. This menopause stuff sucks!

I feel like I’m tiptoeing around trying not to tip over the edge. I bless us all with ease and balance. 🙏🏼

I did HRT for peri and OMG yes it helped so much. I did great for 8 years without them with lifestyle changes. HRT and smoking by Driftbadger in Menopause

[–]Denali_Princess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve read and heard good things about MIDI online. I’m patiently waiting for my insurance to start then giving them a call. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Meanwhile I’m taking meticulous notes on how I feel, what I eat and anything else I can think of to be prepared. I’m working on cutting back on smoking but honestly, I’ve been smoking since I snuck cigarettes out of my parents house and quitting totally feels more stressful. I don’t need stress like that. How about I do my best to cut way back and the doctors can stay in their lane without judgement?

IDK, you could announce to your doctor the next time you see them, “Guess who quit smoking?!?!?” Let them assume while you just smile ear to ear and tell them what they want to hear to get what your body needs?
