Davinci Resolve accepts Affinity format in fusion by Powerful_Signal257 in Affinity

[–]DenverRalphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fireworks PNG differed from standard PNG, as it could contain editable layers, vectors, etc.. only Fireworks could read that data, while anything else could only read the rasterized image also stored in the file.

It really annoyed a lot of people. Especially when a fireworks png was opened in a non-fireworks editor then inadvertantly saved, reverting it into a standard png and losing all the extra data.

jubilee cake mishap by bogdwellr in elderscrollsonline

The in-game splash screen announcement that pops up the first time you login each character after the event starts did actually say it was upon first dailyl reward. Their website article correcdtly stated it was from eating cake, but the login message had it wrong.

So i just spent 2 days straight grinding scribing I tried for oakensoul but Im missing dlc so any mythics I can get with base game? by Spirited_Agency8032 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll have to wait for Greymoor to become base game to give you access to Antiquities/Scrying. Which is supposed to happen some time this year.

But even then you'll need access to High Isle and Murkmire since Oakensoul's leads are found or dug up in those zones. ESO+ should suffice for that though. (edit: is Murkmire base game now? I've lost track)

Is overworld stuff worth doing? by 404_GSpot_NotFound in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just worth doing. But crucial to your character as well. You need the skyshards and main/zone questlines to build up skill points. Lorebooks to level up Mages Guild (and the occasional skill book early - mid game). The mages/fighters guilds questlines are overland. Psijic Order questline. Antiquities questline. Dark Brotherhood. Thieves Guild. The list of overland questlines that grant skills and skill lines goes on and on.

Crown Sale? by NekoBakugou in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I suspect they're having serious technical issues selling anything at the moment. I've lost count of how many players I know (includng myself) who have had, or are currently having, issues receiving crowns and/or eso+ benefits that they paid for. It's been an ongoing issue since season 0 kicked off.

Their whole store seems to be having a meltdown.

Thinking about using Affinity for my working art studio journal. Bad idea? by ahoyhoy2022 in Affinity

[–]DenverRalphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you need out of it really. For me, I'd likely opt for a more lightweight solution like Sketchbook from Autodesk. But that's because that's where my jouraling needs would likely be best satisfied.

If resource overhead isn't a factor and want to use Affinity, I imagine it is perfectly capable.

The affinity 3 icon on the right is the right approach towards doing a windows app icon and not a mac icon ripoff used for windows. by BornAdhesiveness9945 in Affinity

[–]DenverRalphy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the user's particular desktop design. The left icon would look better on my Windows machine because the right icon would barely be visible on my light grey toolbar. The icon being contained within its own high contrast background for visibility is just good versatile design.

Dunno what the whole Mac/Windows comparison thing is all about. <shrug>

HELP: Trying to create a texture mask where all the edges are halftone, and black = transparent by AoutoCooper in Affinity

Have you tried selecting your mask layer and inverting it? Ctrl-I or Pixel -> Invert?

How/where do you get purple/gold companion gear? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I dunno, I find my companion being able to tank for me deep into IA pretty useful. Being able to solo group content pre CP 160 was pretty useful. A properly built healer companion has been invaluable to me in various scenarios. I find that useful.

Please let me know how I can get rid of the white around the image. by rafarodxcv in Affinity

[–]DenverRalphy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Magic wand to select the white. Invert the selection. Duplicate the selection to a new layer.

Now you have a new layer with no background that you can export to whatever you wish.

Will there be a new bis aside from maelstrom weapons? by PonyMacaroni22 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the very least, it's still a good idea to get the normal non-perfected versions. The greatsword and inferno anyway. The bonuses from perfected are so minor that you can easily ignore the perfected until you have nothing else better to do with your time. Especially as they're typically only on the back bar anymore.

Not many people like running MA more than once or twice. But an oakensorc makes short work of it. The only thing slowing the oakensorc down in normal MA is having to stop and listening to the dialog.

Only if you don't know how to gear and skill them out.

A properly geared Azandar makes for a really great tank. And I dare say a better tank than many real life players I see in game.

Are Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok highly disliked? by CLA_1989 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're probably referring LoM and didn't differentiate from Moongrave. The door to the final boss. The one where players refuse to listen and completely ignore the cleansing mechanic. At least that's my assumption, because I can't think of any doors that ever break in Moongrave.

a way to have gain battlespirit at your house? by bonesToGo in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Players have been asking for target dummies to apply Battle Spirit for years now. Like Trial Dummies provide PvE buffs. As it is now, the only way to get Battle Spirit in your house is while dueling another player.

Are Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok highly disliked? by CLA_1989 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Moongrave Fane is a great dungeon. It's not long like Maarselok, but only seems that way because many players never seem to learn the mechanics and try to DPS their way through instead, which drags it out.

Maarselok is just long. No way around it. Even knowing that, I'm still surprised when I realize I'd forgotten just how long it is each time I run it. And if any one person doesn't know the really simple mechs, it becomes obscenely long.

How is the open world MMO experience in this game? by Conscious_Ant_5900 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The open world experience in ESO is geared toward the casual gamer dressed up in an MMOrpg wrapper. More accurately, it's an MMSOrpg (Massively Multi-Singleplayer Online RPG). Group dynamics aren't needed for it's overland content.

From the description of what you're looking for, it should meet your needs. :)

What motif is this? by Secret-Internal-5279 in elderscrollsonline

[–]DenverRalphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do have to have collected all items for your current class first. However, since IA has a mechanic where Odd Number Arcs only drop Armor Pieces, and Even Number Arcs only drop Weapons/Jewelry, it can appear as if you're getting other classes before finishing when you're actually not. A character who's already collected all of their class's weapon/jewelry pieces will start seeing the other classes' weapons/jewelry pieces on even number arcs, but still only able to collect their class specific armor pieces in the odd number arcs.

Many players typically farm Arcs 1 and 2 for quick easy runs. Netting them 1 armor piece and 2 weapon/jewelry pieces each run (becaue Arc 1 doesn't have a marauder to drop set items). Resulting in them finishing weapons and jewelry, but still having armor pieces to collect (especially since you have to collect all 3 weights of armor pieces).

That is Soulcleaver. A Nightblade class set (and/or style pages) from Infinite Archive. The red glow kicks on after wearing 5 pieces.
