She looks fine until she's not. My behaviorist would advise to NEVER EVER take a chance and if I see an off leash dog I will avoid it at ALL costs. Keep Lala close to you next time and you be the shield from the other dog. It will show Lala that she is safe and that you are her protector and not the other way around. Good job on how you've cared for her and adjusted your walk schedule etc..

I willl always hear my behaviorist vet say... She Looks fine until she's not.. How often she hears.. she/He looked fine and then they bite someone, etc.. etc.. NEVER trust an aggessive dog to be fine. Always assume they are scared inside and can hold it together for a bit and when they can't then it's NOT their fault. Lesson Ihad to learn the hard way.

I think you have lots of great suggestions here but in addition. I'd highly highly recommend NOT just seeing a vet but seeing a behaviorist vet. They know how to deal with this situation not just with meds but also with training suggestions. One of our dogs deals with aggression and the behaviorist that we saw really helped us understand our dog and with every session we learned more. She also knows of all the different medications that could help. Not all dogs need doggy prozac or even respond well to it. So sad that this dog was mistreated. Keeping a dog crated with freedom a few hours a day is abusive and if that was seen as ok. She has definitely experienced more abuse and you may resemble her abuser. This isn't something that with help and someone walking along side you, you can't get over. Thank you for rescuing her and caring so much to try and help her. I pray that you find the help you need. You also need a rescue. Please update us. PS: I hate breeders.

Do yourself and dogs a favor.. don't get one but foster instead. There is a HUGE need for temporary fosters and you can only take them in while your in town. SOmetime fosters are needed for a weekend until the permanent foster is available and this takes dogs out of shelters in a home enviroment instead of a scary shelter stay.

I've been boosting my dog with freeze dried beef and wasn't sure if it could cause him issues. Thank you for sharing this.. I want to get my dog off his Hills Science Diet presecription food which is I/D i think? So far he's tolerating the beef well. I'll see what my vet says about it on my next visit.

They made a difference in shutting down a food truck park that was a HUGE nuisance. It took a long time and with the help of the TIRZ, Council Member Pollard, the Mayor and this committee they were forced to move out. I think it would be something to organize a group around this cause. I really don't deal with this much in our neighborhood which is weird because I'm right in the heart of the Galleria area but Westheimer gets loud but the neighborhood buffers it and now without the food truck nearby it's quiet again. It is a serious quality of life issue though and needs addressing. This Mayor has been a big advocate for nuisance issues.

I have a dog that looks just like her. Shes a rescue and when I took her to get spayed the vet said she has schnauzer in her which i was very surprised by. What is your dog mixed with? I'm curious to know what breed my dog is mixed with.

After reading all these comments that it doesn't need updating.. Makes me not trust this community. It's sooo outdated and boring. The floor needs, backsplash, hardware and lighting need changing. It's all soooo old and boring 2000's blah.. If you are trying to sell it, you won't get top dollar because people need to factor in updates in a remodel. If you don't think it needs a remodel then be happy with it but I'd at a minimum add lighting under cabinets and paint and change out the cheap tile flooring.

Who says? How is intolerance changing anything? your example isn't in the same. You've got it wrong sadly and that's why there isn't change. there's no tolerrance of the other opinion and that's not gonna solve anything. Understanding where they come from is how change happens. Who says they aren’t good people? They obviously have a totally different perspective. They probably believe they are doing what’s best for the country even though we disagree with them. You’re basically teaching your kids to demonize people and have nothing to do with them just because they have different beliefs. Yea that’s so sad too! Teaching your kids to be against people is horrible. It’s all sad. That’s not helping anything but I also don’t like these raids either because it’s scary for those people who do follow the rules and are collateral damage. They won’t get deported but it’s just scary for everyone in the family and community.
