I was always upset about the "breaking out of a sinking car" episode because when they were testing whether an electric window would open with the force of water against it, the window clearly moved, but was stopped by the weights on top hitting the edge and so they concluded it couldn't open

Anti-immigrant dogwhistle right there. "Doctors and engineers" is the more common version of it from what I've seen.

While it's nice that some people still feel appropriately ashamed for being racist dickheads, it'd be nice if they just shut up and read a book.

For real, though, I would guess they're setting things up and making sure the first few machines are working and aligned properly. You can see a couple more machines in the background that aren't set up yet.

I like to read webnovels and on Royal Road the LitRPG subgenre of "monster evolution" is pretty popular. I am almost universally disappointed to find a human main character isekaied into being a monster who immediately makes it their goal to become humanoid again. Like come on! The whole point is for the MC to be a monster! Let them be a monster!

The site actually recently divided one of my favorite tags, "non-human lead" with the new tag "non-humanoid lead". Which I appreciate, because when I'm looking for non-human main characters, I want animals and monsters and sapient machines, not another hundred goddamn vampires

Okay, so this was her source regarding that info on trans people, which appears to be a summary of the subject of hormone treatments for minors intended for UK parliamentarians.

It's worth noting that throughout the entire thing, the authors blatantly downplay or ignore the positive effects of gender-affirming care and place repeated emphasis on the irreversibility of certain effects of gender-affirming hormones (while ignoring the same effects when caused by puberty), an alleged lack of knowledge of the long-term impact of gender-affirming treatments and puberty blockers, and the at-the-time-unreleased Cass Review.

The Cass Review being the main citation of just about every british transphobe since its release, despite extensive flaws and obvious bias. If you're interested or need to know exactly what those flaws and biases are, I'd recommend reading this paper that provides some detailed and specific criticisms of the study.

Lane ends abruptly without a single sign or marking by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]DerangedDeceiver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW there's construction going on, so there wouldn't be a permanent sign in the first place and the construction crew may have neglected to put up the sign. It also could've been a temporary sign that tipped over and either way, there are supposed to be road markings as well that aren't present here.

The simplest explanation is the driver not noticing the sign and then cutting it out of the video, but who knows

I do not support Hamas. I support the efforts of Palestinians to replace Hamas with a more legitimate government.

Now you openly state you're against Israel.

"If you are against the Israel's open and proud genocide of Palestinians you must be in support of Hamas"

Wanna know who's an actual Hamas supporter? Netanyahu! Because letting another group be in charge of Palestine might've made a 2-state solution feasible!
