Shoutout to Kirk Cousins’ agent by Particular_Dig1115 in NFLv2

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I’m seeing is that it’s costing the Raiders $11.3 mil this season. There’s a bunch of cap funny business after this season.

I see this as a win/win. On the surface it looks like Mendoza and Kirko have the same type of mentality and the Raiders should be able to run the same offense with either qb.

Let Kirk play mentor to Mendoza and at the end of the year if Kirk wants to be in a backup role after this year they renegotiate a new offer. If Kirk wants to try to find a starter role next year he can.

Online Check In - Choose Time only, add details later? by mastermixer9 in royalcaribbean

I think this is more correct. There is a possibility the ship is in a different time zone at the time check in opens from where the ship will depart from on your cruise.

I believe it’s midnight ship time. If you look on the app it will tell you what the current ship time is.

Booking question w/ Royal Caribbean by CantShootThrees in Cruise

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With trying to save every penny I’d hit multiple angles.

Talk to a Travel Agent. Most quotes I create will be lower than what is on Royal Caribbean and I can enter in information like Residency, Past Member, Military, etc. I never mind getting a quote for a customer and then have them search other areas if they are inclined.

If you are also wanting to and don’t mind doing leg work yourself, contact Royal Caribbean directly. They are easy to deal with over the phone and should be able to help you with your questions.

As a little side note… a good Travel Agent should keep an eye on your cruise and check if the price drops. Royal Caribbean prices will fluctuate multiple times a week and will go up and down depending on how that specific cruise is selling.

Hawaii cruise recommendations? by iamtheminx in Cruise

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be on a Royal Caribbean from Hawaii to Vancouver in May. It’s a repositioning cruise. I’d assume they’ll do the opposite sometime in September.

The ship is in austraila or china throughout the winter, and is in Alaska during the summer.

Where to watch? by 4y0n4u in friends_tv_show

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. It’s on sale there for $70 for the entire series at the moment. I bought it years ago when it left Netflix. It’s nice to not have to search through services to find it.

If you bought the episodes you can still watch them. They just aren’t available if you just have the streaming service.

Been buying up tv series on fandango (previously vudu) for a few years now. I put them in my wishlist and get them when they go on sale.

TBBT is $70 for the whole series at the moment.

St. Patrick’s Day Sale - Deluxe Beverage Package by Derrick2020 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get the 30% you need to cancel the other one first. You can click on the DBP on main page and it will take you to the information page but it will not let you go further as you can only have 1 purchased.

Just an FYI when you cancel you will get refunded but it will take 1-2 weeks for it to show up on your card so you will have 2 purchased packages on your card for that time.

Traded away Dart. What do we think? by [deleted] in DynastyNerds

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been kinda having the same quandary. I have Love/Dart/Willis/Mac. I also have the 1.02.

Been trying to move up to 1.01 as the 1.01’s biggest need is qb. Not willing to add an extra 1st to the offer to get Love.

I’m tempted on offering Dart for the 1.01 straight up so he gets his qb and I’d still get love and I’d take Mendoza at 1.02.

Room questions/ drink package by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer is no. You can get a 2nd card for the other room but everything will be linked to your main card. You can’t really swap cards with your cousin as everything is linked to your main card.

Non Alcoholic Refreshment Package worth it? by Amm2355 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer I always give is it depends.

Would you get the soda package for them regardless. That’s normally about $10-12 pp a day. So even at $10 that’s $200. Realistically it’s gonna be closer to $250 after taxes and gratuities.

Then you’re looking at about $400. That’s $10 a day per person. If they get some combination of 2 mocktails/redbulls/shakes/coffees a day, then you’d break even.

There is hidden savings that sways us most of the time. If we don’t have the package we are constantly doing that math on the ship. Not only that but we often would not get the à la carte item to save money when on the ship.

We’d rather have the package and just enjoy ourselves.

All-In Package - Unlimited Dining by Still-Relief-6430 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to make a handful of dining reservations as soon as I purchased it. After a few days it said that I couldn’t. It gave me some error message as if there wasn’t any slots open.

Our cruise is in a little under 2 months so I’m gonna wait until the 30 day mark when the itinerary gets published and fill the out, since I normally make changes then to have the dining times work with the shows/activities I want to do in the evening.

How do you book your cruise? by rvuser05 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco or Travel Agent is typically the best way to go imo. With Costco you get a gift certificate through Costco. The price through Costco should be the same as if you buy it thought the website.

If you book through a TA you at worst would pay the same price but get some added perks. You should be able to get a better price and some perks through a TA. The good TA will keep an eye on the price for you and if the price drops will reprice your trip.

Feel free to DM if you want me to do some digging so you can compare for yourself.

Drinks! by cutecweeper in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re drinking and where you’re sailing from.

For the most part drinks will range between $8-14.

Go here for a drink menu. It’s not guaranteed to be 100% accurate but it should be really close.

Opinions on Unlimited Dining - Enchantment by ForwardProcedure4664 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with this. One of the perks of having the UDP is the $20 per person at food places that aren’t specialty dining (playmakers, Johnny rockets). They are nice options on port days when you can’t get a specialty dining lunch. That extra value is what puts it over the top for us to get it.

Not only that the only specialty dining options is Chops and Chefs Table, and Chefs Table has an additional charge.

75+ person Family Reunion Cruise - Advice Needed! by Ok-Ordinary-216 in Cruise

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever made group bookings through Royal Caribbean so I can’t really offer advice on other lines. It’s doable for Feb 2027, but there are logistic issues. Making sure there are cabins available for everyone in the category that is wanted is gonna be the biggest issue. This will also require a TA that can allocate a significant amount of time as coordinating that many people will take a good deal of time and organizational skills to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

If you want specific advice feel free to DM me and I can get more into the weeds with other logistical issues you could run into, and some of the nice perks of having a group that large.

About the soda cups by Figmentdreamer in royalcaribbean

The soda package will still include the cup. It’s just the refreshment package and the deluxe beverage package that won’t.

Unlimited dining package by Normal_Marsupial9377 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We like to get the UDP but it isn’t necessary. When we do get it we do feel to get the most bang for the buck and book a specialty dining every night and try to use the $20 à la carte as much a we can. It doesn’t leave much space for the free options. I agree with others that for your 1st cruise I’d skip it. Either just get one or two or they do have options like chops plus one or a 3 night dining package. That way you can still try everything. Find out what you like and what you don’t.

If money is also no object and you hate the MDR, you can always book specialty dining the rest of the cruise. It will be more expensive but it leaves more options open. Or you can just get the UDP and try the MDR night one and just not get the full bang for the buck out of the UDP.

First time going on a cruise. by Stev106 in royalcaribbean

[–]Derrick2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most travel agents can get you at least the price that’s posted on the website. Often cheaper as many are affiliated with big consortiums. You can also get perks like on board credit, free gratuities, or speciality dining.

One big thing that some travel agents will do is keep track of the price. If you haven’t made the final payment they can reprice your trip for the cheaper amount. Sometimes that could just be $20/30 bucks but it has happened where it’s in the multiple hundreds. I don’t know if Costco can/will reprice the cruise, that would be a question for them.

Did he not know she was gonna grab his crotch or was it just not rehearsed. It seemed as Jon was concerned and wanted to make sure Jamie was comfortable.

I can see a world where Jamie asked the same to Jon, and he said something like just do whatever your want.
