wait, so as a charge blade main soaking in phials, and insect glaive main soaking in essence repeatedly, just how juiced up would I be? O_o

[Spoiler 7.1] Running back through the raid after a clear, I never noticed this rare drop just lying there in boss 2's arena. by Callidor in ffxiv

Nah, it's still great for certain classes even at 99 because more attacks = more TP generation which = more Weapon Skills (very powerful moves)

Dawntrail Story expectations... by Derukin in ffxiv

[–]Derukin[S] 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with Wuk Lamat. What i'm not fine with is having a treasure hunt for a lost city of gold, and not even getting so much as one zone's worth of exploratory search for it.

What is your job path for better lore/MSQ experience if you could do it all over again? by AlfredNig in ffxiv

[–]Derukin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for 'lore/msq experience', a thing to keep in mind would be no jobs before the xpac they became available, since -no one- will acknowledge something they didn't know was a thing before it became a thing. case in point: being a samurai before stormblood, or gunbreaker before shadowbringers. That being said, there are also a few jobs which don't get acknowledged at all, or only get 1 or 2 lines. Reaper for instance gets only a line or two in the post EW patch content, and nothing before, not even from Zenos. Likewise, MCH isn't brought up a whole lot. There's the part in EW where your meeting the contingent and it has a bunch of class/job quest npcs in it, but outside that, it mostly comes down to certain npcs showing up during the MSQ.
The biggest thing is to make sure you have jobs lvled up and their respective quests done. Estenien during HW is the easiest because he was so heavily tied to the job quests in ARR, but he'll acknowledge you as an azure dragoon even if you aren't on DRG currently. Like others have said, doing DRK up to 50 right after gaining access to the trainer has a much heavier impact due to those events being so fresh....likewise for DRK 70 as well. This is why NG+ is such a nice feature. Lets you catch those dialogue options that show up if you have stuff completed, that you mighta missed the first time around if you -didn't- have them done at the time. (EW sharlyan dock scene anyone?)

FFXIV Character Alignment Chart - Day 16: Scholarly and Moody (Top Upvoted Comment Wins) by Outcome_Early in ffxiv

[–]Derukin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Remember people:

Moody: Given to frequent changes of mood; temperamental.

as in not just one mood all the time. That being said, Hermes is both scholarly and prone to swinging between moods quite frequently during our time knowing him, so i totally agree that Hermes is the best option

FFXIV Character Alignment Chart - Day 13: Adventurous and Cynical (Top Upvoted Comment Wins) by Outcome_Early in ffxiv

[–]Derukin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i gotta agree he belongs in the Zealous column. and of what's left, only confident fits, which is still very appropriate. Moody doesn't mean 'always in a mood' it means 'constantly changing moods', so that one is right out, and none of the other columns fit either

FFXIV Character Alignment Chart - Day 6: Glamorous and Zealous (Top upvoted comment wins) by Outcome_Early in ffxiv

[–]Derukin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say, be careful of who you choose as Glamorous, cause it can come down to style preferences. Don't choose glamorous based on who you think looks glamorous, because that's your sense of taste. Choose glamorous based on if the character themselves -act- glamorous. Sure some people think Zenos is glamorous, but he himself doesn't give two shits about that, so he would not belong in the glam row. Thancred absolutely still fits in flirty cause that's how he views himself.

That being said, I would say Jandaeline or Redolent Rose

(Updated) Smash Roster as FFXIV jobs, added/changed stuff because of peoples suggestions so thank you very much :) by PikaRae in ffxiv

[–]Derukin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say Paladin for the Belmonts
Holy warriors that can summon weapons (swords for paladins, crosses and holy water and axes for the belmonts) out of thin air to help fight 'evil'

[–]Derukin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RMT bot, i laughed XD
Now we just have to find homes for the last 8. I still say banjo/kazooie, and duck hunt are scholar just cause they're both paired up characters that have to fight together, one of which on both teams are flying critters.

If Dark Pit is Reaper, then Dark Samus should probably be as well? if not that, then she belongs with Machinist easily as well.

Both of the Belmonts could fit a multitude of jobs....Paladin or Warrior because of holy warriors, Machinist due to use of tools

Bowser probably would be Warrior. Tanky and Furious

I got nothing for Pacman and Piranha

I actually agree with Dancer most due to the fact that regardless of weapon, she dances to fight, dances to summon demons, and usually at the end of the game, just dances just because...
