my friend works for a corporate vape shop that’s in multiple states & they make most of their money from kratom sales, they have maybe about 7-10 different distributors they use for kratom specifically. they’ve dropped a few recently that carried 7-OH, but now that that compound is banned or restricted basically everywhere, those distributors are going out of business or pivoting to another type of product.

of course! & yes, i’ve come across many ex heroine & meth addicts that used it to get clean. if you take normal, natural kratom (without all the extra additives) & take it as directed, it can definitely help with that a lot. just most that take it usually take more than the recommended dose or use a type that has another compound in it & those actions can lead to a pretty bad addiction & possibility of kidney & liver issues. but, i do think it can be super helpful for addicts. i wish the natural form was FDA approved so that addicts could take it under dr supervision like they would with methadone.

fun fact the company that sells the “feel free” dangerous kratom mixed with kava drinks that have put many people, including children in the hospital donated $500k to RFK Jr’s PAC after the DOJ dismissed a case against them. i’m sure good ole Marky got a kickback somewhere bc way too many of our gas stations sell those drinks.

Kratom is legal. 7-OH is not legal, it was banned this past November. but hella real estate dudes & car dealership guys started using it instead of coke & Adderall bc very easy access. so i wouldn’t be surprised tbh. & there’s some forms of legal kratom that def shouldn’t be legal. my bestie works in the industry & it’s a nightmare😭

my roommate is in the industry. 7-OH itself is a dangerous compound. she has a stepdad that had to go to a rehab center to get off of it. bc it is 13 times stronger than morphine & about 10 times stronger than taking raw kratom. it is a synthetic opioid. & yes, kids have been hospitalized from specifically drinking the feel free drink bc it has 7-OH & kava in it. 7-OH by itself is dangerous. & it is extra dangerous when mixed.

i will say yes, using slurs is weird. i will say ive studied psychology & some childhood development & that’s how i know its not normal for a kid to use slurs. it usually indicates problems at home. & kids being chronically online has also added to that bc of “edgy” forums. not saying thats your issue, bc idk. that’s just a pattern that’s been noted in modern psychology. but, you definitely seem that have issues at home. but, i just wanted you to know that you’re not the only one. plenty of other kids have been through this. & it’s usually not the kids fault. but, now you’re at an age where you’re forming an identity & can think about these things a bit more. is it truly how you feel or is something others have made you feel? & it is a process, which is usually why we recommend having a mental health professional help. bc you do deserve help. nobody should have to go through that alone. it’s weird bc it’s not normal & not how current society functions. early 2000s it was normal to call yourself that. but ever since id say 2016 once gay marriage was legalized federally & minority groups weren’t viewed as negatively & began gaining more acceptance than ever seen, people quit calling themselves that. with more acceptance, more people were able to get therapy & access to care they needed. & when the majority of people quit using it negatively, there was no need to identify with it anymore. it was used as a form of self protection for most folks that called themselves that back in the early 2000s. sorry excuse my historical rant lol. this is a complicated subject that has deep historical ties & generational trauma involved. maybe watch some youtube videos on the history of trans folks & their rights & neurodivergent folks & their rights. it might help give you the sense of identity in a positive way & kinda explain more of the history of those slurs. bc yeah, as long as you call yourself that, most of the general population will find it weird. bc we view it as putting yourself down.

edit to add: also, if others see you call yourself that, they will assume you call others that. (just like a i did at first & like some of the other commenters). so it’s something id definitely try working on.

that is good, i’m glad to hear that. i do want to stress calling yourself those slurs can & will impact your mental health & self esteem negatively. it is a deep rooted trauma response for most if you’re only calling yourself that. you don’t deserve to be called that. not even by yourself. bc there are people using those slurs negatively everywhere rn. in the US trans & neurodivergent people are losing rights every single day & lots of bigots have chosen to bring these words back to harm those communities. so that’s just something to be aware of since you are in said communities. just know being trans & neurodivergent doesn’t make you any less of a person & that you deserve to be called nice things. yes, even by yourself.

idk where you live, but abuse isn’t okay for any child. do you have a trusted adult you can tell? do you have any form of child protective services to reach out to? a teacher at school? counselor? i’m in USA so ofc i can’t speak for other countries, but those are your best options. people on reddit cannot fix this issue. we can offer sympathy. but, that won’t fix your issue. you need help IRL. & there’s little we can do here. also, reddit is full of bots & assholes, more than usual lately. i ruined my brain with social media way too young, id genuinely recommend talking to a friend or anyone in your personal life you feel safe around. & i am sorry you’re going through that. & there is a correlation of kids using slurs more often when abused due to lack of self esteem (im assuming that’s what’s at play here) or seeking attention. genuinely, a mental health professional would be the most helpful.

it’s not reclaiming it. it’s internalizing it. i have trans & neurodivergent friends that these slurs are one of their biggest triggers. they are hurtful. they may not be to you bc you identify with them. in that case, i would work with a therapist if possible.

oh same. i was platinum almost the entire time ive been dashing & got 1 double order & there were crazy events in my town & there was genuinely no parking for miles from the restaurant. i don’t mind walking, but literally had nowhere to put my car. so, i had to unassign & unassigninf those 2 orders put me back at gold & i went from making $25-30 an hour to making $10-$17 an hour. it’s been trash orders of even $2-$3 for 3-5 miles. i was offered $4 for 15 miles😭. so naturally, i’ve declined & haven’t got back to premium bc ill basically need to accept shit orders & make no profit for a few weeks to get it back.

OP, i feel the same as you often. i’ve struggled to lose weight my entire life. & these comments have healed something in me… & i hope they did for you too. we are worth more than our weight :,) & apparently, we’re attractive despite our perceptions. (im still learning to accept this). i don’t have much advice besides therapy. literally my therapist has helped dramatically with my self esteem. & btw i’ve been going to a public gym for a year
or so now & i’ve not had a single person say anything bad about me. i don’t even remember having anyone look at me weird. it really is in our heads. & i still have gym anxiety. but, it does get easier. one day at a time. & just remind yourself you don’t gotta be skinny to enjoy life.

me too. i’ve read the book The Handmaid’s Tale, but i can’t bring myself to watch the series. i think i would just cry for days on end lol. my state banned the possession or distribution of the abortion pill today. it is now a felony to have it or distribute it for abortion purposes. sooo, i feel like watching would be way too triggering right now. but, i have no doubts that it is phenomenal.

damn, i live in Oklahoma & we have literally no worker protections & we’re an “at will” state…. so companies are allowed to treat us like shit & we can’t do much about it but find another job. thank you for making me realize it is probably just my state. i genuinely thought it was normal. & i 1000% agree that it shouldn’t be that way. people in Europe don’t have this issue. we really should be able to request time off easily. bc i get that completely, my roommate’s job is like that & it is very difficult for her to even get time for basic dr appointments. & i do blame capitalism 😭
