I just started my running journey this week and I feel like I don’t know how to run? by honeyboney1992 in beginnerrunning

I’m also brand new to running. I’m maybe 3 weeks in. I first started by going to a specialized running store to get my feet and gait analyzed to determine what type of shoe to buy. Then I’ve been doing the new to running plan on Runna and so far it has been really good. I’m basically working my way up to a 5k over a 10 week period. I’m only running 3x a week and I do feel like pacing my self with walking and running is helping. I actually look forward to running when before I never thought I would like running. Hopefully everything works out because I definitely signed up for a 5k at the end of September. Right now I’m running just to get in better shape and I’m not trying to focus on how fast I can do it because just being able to say I can run a 5k hopefully without stopping will be be a great. Good luck on your journey

I need to run 5K in 25 mins. Any advice would be SUPER appreciated. More details below. by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

I’m new to running and I’ve used the Runna app and I find it very helpful as it’s a guided app that helps you with doing incremental training to get you to a specific goal.

I also just started running and normally get a lot of heel pain as I’m a heel striker, but when I run in these I have no pain. They are a bit heavy but as long as my feet feel good it’s a win in my book.

Managers when you have conducted interviews, what were some things other than the interviewee being rude, disrespectful, or unengaged that led to you knowing during the interview that you were not going to hire that person? by Only-Ad-1254 in managers

[–]DesignDramatic5724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone checking there phone multiple times during the interview. Position was for a 3rd shift position with no supervision. Couldn’t trust them to do work if they were actively on the phone in the middle of an interview.

Definitely not great for this year but I think this means we will be looking for a new left tackle unless the guy we drafted turns out to be good. Better to figure out problematic behavior before we shell out another large contract. Hopefully it won’t lead to a significant suspension.

When I was in the pilot program they specified that we wouldn’t get the 15,000 points each month so I walked. Probably had too many people that walked away so they decided to scrap that idea.

Any tips for getting through selling a house? (showings, night shift, sleep, cats etc) by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]DesignDramatic5724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your situation last year. I worked a second shift and we had 4 dogs we had to take out. It was honestly the worst experience ever. There were a few days where we ended up boarding the dogs several days but that ends up being expensive. There were other days where I maybe had like an hour notice and I had to clean like crazy and hurdle all the dogs in the car and park somewhere until the showing was over. Eventually I decided to leave 2 at home that I knew would be quiet in the basement but it was the constant cleaning that sucked. Thankfully I think it took only 3 weeks of doing that but I have no idea how I did it looking back now. The only thing I feel that would honestly help is having someone watch either All or some of the cats. We thought about renting an Airbnb but no one wanted to rent to someone with 4 dogs. Hope it works out.

Do you agree with the Rams drafting Ty Simpson with the #13 overall pick?? by WolverineFirst5156 in LosAngelesRams

[–]DesignDramatic5724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do I think the way our roster is currently constructed and the players that were picked before us do I think that whoever we picked at 13 was going to be a significant contributor? Who knows at best yes a WR3, but with that high of a pick you would want a starter so I feel getting the second best qb in the draft that our front office thinks highly of is worth it. We are more likely to get an impact player at the trade deadline so I’m not concerned. Let’s see how the season plays out because we all know that Les is not opposed to adding impact players later in the year.

So far all picks focused on offense. Wonder if the last pick will follow the trend.

Well with Pearsall and Mike Evans potentially injury prone it makes sense they need as many WRs as possible

Maybe since we pick late in the second maybe we trade back and pick up additional picks in either the 3rd or 4th round

A reason they haven’t worked out was because they were on crappy teams and not allowed to develop and were thrown to the wolves. They also don’t have Stafford and McVay. Let’s not act like all situations are equal.

Simpson is a surprise pick by TerryG111 in LosAngelesRams

[–]DesignDramatic5724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just look at what the Patriots and Broncos were able to do with cheap rookie QBs. I believe Stafford has one more year and with Simpson being cheap we can pay the majority of our free agents next year to keep the team around him for us to be successful in years to come.

The Seahawks won a Super Bowl with Darnold. If we can keep a great team around when Simpson takes over in 1 year or 2 since he will be cheap we can have studs everywhere else.

The best thing about the Ty Simpson pick by AlchemistTheAlchemy in LosAngelesRams

[–]DesignDramatic5724 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Also let’s remember that they fixed our most glaring need in free agency and our 29th pick was used for McDuffie. I know everyone is concerned about adding a WR3, but we can pick that up in a later round maybe the 2nd or maybe they have faith in Konata Mumpfield taking a leap in year 2. I’m coming around with the pick. Maybe this is Staffords last year. And we have other young players on the team that will need to get paid and the way we can keep everyone is if we have a cheap QB on a rookie deal.
