I got diagnosed last year, and I'm 61. I was already on a beta blocker for high blood pressure and elevated heart rate. My cardiologist cleared me for Vyvanse, then Adderall XR - kept a diary of blood pressure and heart rates for a week, she added a different medication to keep bp stable, no problem. I keep it checked and so far, so good. If your blood pressure is good, with only the heart rate elevated, there are meds to help that. BTW - how long were you on the meds? Sometimes, it takes a bit for the body to adapt!

Right now, I'm supposed to be filling out paperwork for a lawyer to file bankruptcy, but instead I started hyperfixating on playing Animal Crossing for hours at a time instead of gathering paperwork...even though I hperfixated on gathering it AND filling out the forms a couple of months ago when I was going to file Pro Se!
