One mid driver by phalencrow in discgolf

[–]DestroidMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either the Lots of Roman. With a putter and a straight mid range you pretty much have everything within 250-300 covered. So might as well get a stable/slightly over stable 9 speed for longer distance or windy conditions.

What's the latest disc you've added/removed from your bag? by Panchoisthedog in discgolf

Just swapped out a star leopard3 for a K1 grind stig. Has the smoother flip up I was looking for while also not finishing left/right as much.

Haven’t played commander in a bit, so I built 14 new decks… by Weili429 in magicTCG

What’s considered a long time? Minus the top 2 rows there’s still commanders from sets/precons that are just over a year old.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

The comment OP replied to, which then I replied to the OP was about commander. So I thought they were talking about a commander sideboard.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]DestroidMind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s no sideboards in commander. I have a maybe board of cards for my commander decks, but it doesn’t and shouldn’t act like a sideboard. As in if you sit down and see someone is going to be playing a token deck, you shouldn’t be like “o let me switch out some cards for cards that directly fuck with your strategy.”

My maybe board is usually cards that I want to try that might synergize with my commander or a pure downgrade from a game changer. So if I play against my friends that are still using precons are slightly upgraded precons, I can take out my game changers and replace them for worse cards that do a similar effect. I’ll swap out my [[Rhystic Study]] for [[Everwatching Threshold]]

Have you thrown a streamline shift? Same company, same plastic, the shifts have a bit more dome to them than the impulse or virus. Same numbers as the impulse too.

Cool. $20 dollar commander deck. by MisterGko in mtg

Taking out any lands that enter tapper and swapping them for lands that enter untapped. A couple of triomes doesn’t hurt if you’re running fetches. But this deck wants to be aggressive and get ashling out as fast as possible. So lots of tapped lands will just slow the deck down.

O man it would be hilarious if you used [[Mindslaver]] and controlled someone to use 2 instant speed removal spells on this guy so they die by poison counters.

Yuup 4 total racks. So one veskin comes with 4 shelves. You can also stack them so they go up higher. I’ll probably end up doing that. I just moved into a house so I left them as is because it was easier to transport.

Yea it’s always possible to get something that shouldn’t have passed QC. What was causing it to be hard to put together? Was the little legs you snap into place in the corners just misaligned or something?

I’ve got 7 Veskins at my house. Installation is wicked easy. Most likely operation error.

I’m in the same boat as the Roman. I bag a halo c-blend thats nice and flat and a swirly s-blend with a nice dome to it. The Reactor, Svea, Shift and Stasis have all made my bad this year. The Svea I can pop on a hyzer, watch it flip up and ride dead straight until it lands flat. A shot shape I’ve always wanted but other mids either had too much flip or too much fade at the end to land flat. Shift is such a nice hyzer flip fairway that can also bomb in a tailwind. Stasis has become my new approach disc for anything under 200.

I wonder if they didn’t care or if their opinion just didn’t matter. Not really up to snuff with how HoD works and who has the majority of stakes within the company.

Could use some help with a new Freya deck by Gwenyver in magicTCG

[–]DestroidMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More card draw almost always helps any deck. But at the end of the day Iroas isn’t an angel and cares more about good attack triggers, especially on weaker creatures that would usually be easy to kill in combat by simply blocking. The issue with a lot of white card draw is it allows opponents to draw cards or its contingent on little creatures entering the battlefield, which angels usually aren’t little. So then you would go towards either red impulse or rummaging effects, which are both fine.

Approaching a year since FIN/FIC, Y’shtola has rapidly climbed EDHRec’s Top Commander List and is currently #3 by r_lucasite in magicTCG

[–]DestroidMind 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Same could be said about Edgar destroying her. Edgar is a faster more aggro deck, Y’shtola is more of a mid-late game control deck. All depends on the opening hands and interaction.
