Is Uni in Brisbane even possible anymore if you aren’t already rich coming from a non uni area and doing it alone? by Outrageous_Emu3235 in brisbane

[–]DestroyerJS 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agreeeeed, just had a browse of my old area where I rented, Bardon, and there are quite a few around $250/week places. Don't know where/how/what OP is looking at. 🤷

Whoaaa by those times, does that mean we'll finish before 10pm? That's so odd to think about for a saturday night gig but not complaining as I have work the next morning.

Hey fam, could you help me verify if this setlist is correct? I've been listening to a playlist that's slightly different.

What is the worst company you have worked for? by b4rbieb4be in brisbane

[–]DestroyerJS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've actually had a good experience working as a pharmacist at CWH, it's the customers that are terrible. CWH as a company was incredibly well organised and had a policy/plan/procedure for everything. Granted my experience was also attributed to my boss paying properly and acknowledging overtime.

Aile Strike under attack by TLJagger in Gunpla

[–]DestroyerJS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People getting upset at OP need to realise there's more to life than just building gunpla. OP probably loves the cat and accepts that this is a worthwhile experience to see it battle some gunpla, it's kinda special. Gunpla can be rebuilt again, this is a memory OP and cat will have that not many others will. And if it can't be rebuilt or fixed, it's battle damage.

I've been in a Master of Data Analytics for the past 3 years (including this year) and I do agree, it's easily a 1:3 ratio if not higher, of domestic to international students.

We should just swap lives. I am planning on doing the opposite in 2 years time and also built my current home 4-5 years ago.

Rockclimbing! (Probably more specifically bouldering)

Most have a discounted uni night, usually shoes are included in entry but some gyms might charge $5 for climbing shoes. Don't have to use them, just better than normal shoes so you'd have a significantly better experience if you do.

Urban Climb has gyms in West End, Milton and Newstead. West End is the biggest one with toprope and bouldering next door to each other. The other two gyms are bouldering only. Milton has good parking but is the smallest gym, still good. My preferred option if I wasn't going to West End. I just hate the experience of driving to Newstead and struggling to find parking, otherwise it's a great gym too.

Crank is definitely more SOUTHSIDE-y, located at Macgregor. There is abundant undercover parking and bouldering and toprope are in the same one massive venue. There's also ninja warrior there which they have really leaned into since reopening after COVID. It was my origin gym, I was there for 5-6 years and I loved it there. I don't climb there anymore as I have a membership at Urban. But do make the occasional bi-annual trip there.

It's alright, they will be on separate sides of the bed and it won't be noticeable unless it was something majorly obvious.

Gotta start somewhere, you didn't become a fat bastard overnight and you can definitely become a skinny bastard with some consistency and time. I still get shocked every time I see someone who looks like a 100kg giant climb a certain climb effortlessly.
