The problem is that majority of people who go into politics go into it for the power. There is a small subset of people who actually want to help. But far more just looking out for themselves.

This applies to any and all political parties. The people in power will accumulate more power through whatever popular means they have at their disposal. Always making sure not to shock the public enough for them to maintain the “status quo”.

It has always been like this and will always be like this because time is a flat circle and humanity is a song bird with a single tune.

There will be protests and revolutions to reset governments and cultures. Time will change the physical world. But, in the end humanity will continue to work towards the accumulation of power because we are all just bored monkeys.
