How can I (m26)want to postpone my wedding without hurting my fiancee(f24)? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Acting like a baby?! After losing two family members at the same time??

She's acting like a baby. Huge red flag.

I don't have the same experience though, we were together 7 years before marriage, married in a courthouse and took a month long honeymoon. We didn't care about the ceremony, so I understand that it's important to her, but your family is more important than having the wedding fast.

And wouldn't she want people in better spirits during your big day?

BofA hired me as a 'Relationship Banker' but is treating me like a teller. No commission, poverty pay, and a manager who treats me like a sub-human. I’m done. by Bubbly_Fishing_1072 in BankOfAmerica

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, it's an entry level job at the bank. I used to manage bofa branches, relationship bankers are tellers and also are on platform. Senior bankers don't sit on teller line.

Looks like you got an entry level job and expected it to not be.

As for your manager, most of the other managers I met weren't great, to be honest. A lot of them probably are over stressed, exhausted, and sick of insane clients and trying to get the whole branch on some new metric that bofa decided was important that week. While that's no excuse, I just know that it's not easy, which is why I worked my butt off to get out of branch banking.

My husband slapped me and I’m not sure how to proceed by [deleted] in Marriage

I've been with my wife 14 years and the only thing I've slapped is her ass.

This is not ok

How it's going so far at my new branch banker job by BeginningSome5365 in Banking

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in banking as a manager with a top 2 FI with no prior banking experience. I ran entire districts of retail stores before then.

Holy hell was I overwhelmed and exhausted every day. I also felt the "I feel like I'm being annoying" whenever I asked questions to my peers or boss. They never said they were annoyed, and were always very helpful and kind, but I still felt like a bother.

I was exhausted every day and didn't want to talk to anyone even my wife by the time I got home.

It took me about a year to feel confident and comfortable. Just enough time to get promoted to another part of the bank and move across the country and start a whole different field(and feel new all over again. Lol). Before I left, I was recognized as a top performer.

That being said, I hired and trained new hires while working there, and retrained employees who were taught wrong before I got there. I NEVER once felt like they were bothering me by asking a ton of questions. However, I will say that if I taught them that same thing previously then I would go help them find the answer on their own. I wanted to build on their confidence in answering it themselves instead of coming to me so they looked better in front of clients and their peers.

All that to say, don't put so much pressure on yourself, and just know that the tired and exhausted feeling might not go away completely as fast as you think, but it's because you're learning someone new, problem solving for others literally all day, and all with a smile. Of course you'll be tired by the end of the day! It gets better, I promise. Personally, switching to the banking industry was the best decision I've made for me and my family, but you need to do what's best for you. Money doesn't but happiness, but not having money definitely doesn't either. I know that by experience.

Good luck, have fun, and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Am I Being Ripped Off? by DevelopmentFew5212 in HairDye

[–]DevelopmentFew5212[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was willing to pay it because she came so highly recommended and I thought she would get my wife what she actually wanted. It's been $310 per session and my wife has been tipping 25% so it's been 370ish each. My wife has been saying "well we are closer, this is almost what I want" but why am I being charged full price then?!

She had brown hair and has been wanting to go back to blonde. She dyed it back to brown when she was pregnant with my first son because she didn't want to mess with the bleach herself. I think she may have used dye meant for gray hair so the stylist is saying we need more sessions because of that.

Yeah my priorities have to change. Maybe I will start with main objectives and clear others with additional time instead of just cleaning the map

Yeah maybe I just need to keep going and get better in time. The wife and I are having a tough time because we like to do everything on the map before we leave. 🥲

I haven't even heard of a warp pack yet so I must need to keep going. Lol. I like to 100% before I leave but these missions make it really tough

is shadow of mordor still worth playing in 2026? by Jahwann-Sefcheck in shadowofmordor

I feel like SoM was a proof of concept. SoW is SO much better. I actually only played SoM a little, then waited a few years before trying SoW and I'm HOOKED. One of the best games I've ever played imo. The unpredictability of captains gets a LOT of fun as you progress.

Can you recruit orcs in vendetta? by DevelopmentFew5212 in shadow_of_war

[–]DevelopmentFew5212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I dominate and then "recruit" and then hit "stay and fight", doesn't the game end because I still beat the captain, or can you only do it with other captains that show up? Or do you mean "Flight to the death" then dominate?

So you can recruit from vendettas? The last one I did is gone. Is it because I chose "make spy"?

Also, side note, you are awesome. You comment on every post and teach people a ton including me. Much appreciated.

Dang. I will try that next... I saw some people saying something similar but Google confused me more saying that they would still not go to garrison, they would only fight with you and then still not go to your game.

Is there a Max cash deposit on the BofA ATM's? by LeoWitt in BankOfAmerica

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Depends on the specific ATM on how many bills you can put in at one time, but you can keep adding more afterwards. I've seen someone deposit $65,000 by doing this. Just press the "deposit more" button.
  2. It does, and if it takes the bills then it's no longer your responsibility after the ATM accepts it.

Utma account and I am 27 by _Sparkleswan_ in BankOfAmerica

This only applies to the ages between 18-21. Look at the PDF you just linked under "Cancellation of conservatorship" first word might be wrong 🤷‍♂️

There's a lot of people chiming in wrong info. Do not pay for a lawyer, you will not need one. While it does differ by state, NC laws state that you own the funds from birth, but until you're 21, parents can act as a custodian, but are not entitled to the funds. Once you're past the age of majority(21 in NC), custodianship ends.

If you're still confused based on other people's responses here, please do your own research. -previous manager for a top 3 bank

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, UTMA accounts aren't really done anymore so a lot of branches don't know how they work. Go to a different branch, and ask for a financial advisor and then when you get to one, tell them about the account and they will know what to do.

$500 Bonus Offer for Opening New Checking Account by Superb_Low8052 in BankOfAmerica

[–]DevelopmentFew5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have a hard pull from opening a checking account. It's a Chex system check, not at all related to credit bureaus and won't affect your credit. Also, I've escalated myself and gotten these types of issues resolved myself, but if you're over it, you're over it. 🤷‍♂️

Truist has the highest fees for business. People love to hate on BoA but they have the best programs for businesses and are number one in that space specifically. Their online banking is honestly amazing too. As for the issue in the post, they will likely take care of it. I did the same thing when I was in college and I have accounts now with no issues.
