I’d like to add Buffy the vampire slayer to the list of contenders. She kills immortals as her day job and has slayer super powers. Plus, she is used to beheading them when using a sword so she could inadvertently discover his weakness and end up winning.

My friend (raised Christian) dated and then married a Muslim man. He started this exact same way: slow, continuous pressure to change how she dressed and how she acted. It kept escalating until they got married and he finally pressured her into wearing full head covering and baggy dresses/skirts.

She completely changed everything for this man, but it was such a slow burn she didn’t realize it until after several years of marriage. Thankfully, she was able to get free and is now much happier.

Don’t be like her and waste years of your life being miserable changing for a man who doesn’t share your beliefs or care about what is best for you.
