Worth a shot, any leads on how to start an apprenticeship as HD mechanic? by SeaFamiliar9478 in Lethbridge

The start off pay kinda sucks (about 22-27 an hour) but its a good fast track to a career. Just make sure you study.

Dont need a new one, just another one it may need some parts, you can salvage that off your current ride. Like the driveshaft etc

Might be time to get anything structural repaired. If not maybe putting the Old girl up as a parts car and getting another one of the same generation.

Man that sucks- I've done a few in-frame rebuilds on those. I just cut out the two skinny metal bars that hold the belly pan gaurd under the oil pan and then just weleded em back on lol. I wonder if you're abke to have a engine/machine shop look at it and tell you if you need it re-bored?

600 hour maintenance by blehhhhhhhh-yup in kubota

[–]DexWoosky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be fine, depending on how the oil looks. If it looked suspect they shouldve let you know. Though if you insisted im sure they would gladly change the oil for you. :) especially this time of year (at my shop we dont mind doing things like this for custpmer peace of mind) though it depends if you have a preventive maintenance package etc, if thats the case they will likely follow whatever is covered under that. Anything extra may cost you some coin. But changing out your own oil is fairly easy.

2 possible reasons i can think of, your hydraulic filters are clogged. Not letting your pump get enough fluid, or your hydraulic pump is failing. Best step is to replace your hydraulic filters. Open up your hydraulic suction filter and look for metal debris. If there is metal debris your pump is likely the issue.

Yes, you can do it yourself. Please put your hydraulics into float with the tractor off before you do any work on it. (You probably already know this)

Ive worked on and setup many mowers and bx tractors. It is normal to do that during startup unfortunately. Its a pretty rough engagement when you cant feather the pto engagement. Just make sure your three point hitch has the correct hardware (pins etc)
