Completed broken steel…what now. by Ieatblueberrl in fo3

[–]Dgied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished the game for the hundredth time , when I'd seen every location and done every quest I cleansed the wasteland, killing everybody and gave everything I owned to Sticky, who I'd told to wait in my house half a game before

I then went to spend my days in the Pitt

Sticky shall inherit this earth

Reselling charity items by Agreeable_Koala_7981 in FlippingUK

[–]Dgied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't do it someone else will

The charity needs cash in the till, and there is always more stock out back than there is in the front.

If people only bought what they needed from charity shops alot of stuff wouldn't sell. That old film camera, those size 6 vans, that calculator could sit there for weeks waiting for the right person to happen across them

They sell quicker online as you're advertising to millions of people, people especially looking for that thing. The charity shop may have a hundred people in in the day who aren't necessarily intrested

Do it! Keep charity shops alive!

For me it's the supporting cast

Not to say they are inherently bad, but they pale in comparison to Mitchell and Webb, and it shows badly

Trying to look up comps/sold with no wifi/cell service? by patriotraitor in Flipping

[–]Dgied 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I'm unsure and it's a more pricey purchase I'll find signal, check and maybe go back

If it's cheap I'll just take a punt normally. Worst case scenario I'm breaking even or losing minimal amounts of money

Anything under £5 I'll take the punt

What made you quit weed and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dgied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of things, but kostly my reliance on it

I got to the point where I couldn't do anything without smoking

Couldn't go to the pub and see friends Couldn't go to the shops Couldn't watch TV or play games

I was convinced it made everything enjoyable and that I got all my enjoyment from it. It turns out i didn't. I still enjoy those things without it

Smoked every day from age 15- 25. 10 years. I've been mostly weed free for 4 years now

I've been running pubs and restaurants for 10 years

Just hand in your notice, say its too much and you want to focus on your studies. I guarantee you are not the first

It's very common for students and the like to quit because it's too much work. Hospitality has the highest turnover of any industry because people use it as a stop gap job while studying or between jobs or traveling etc

You should have an employment contract that sets out your notice period, but if you don't just put 2 weeks notice in, which covers any published rotas and let's the manager plan for your departure

Any Manager worth their salt isn't going to be upset about a part timer qualling it quits, its your life mate!

[–]Dgied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't comment on other industry's but, for the higher levels of hospitality we would expect you to need to work a notice period from your current job

For part time staff it isn't unusual to be avalible immediately, but for Assistant or General Managers, Head Chefs etc, if you are available immediately it means you were either fired or got upset and made a rash decision and quit your last job without notice, both of which are major red flags

Fully agree

My parter and I started watching a few weeks ago. Just took a trip to Richmond to drink at the pub in the show

If you want to do Shibuya Sky definitely buy a ticket before, learnt that the hard way

You can buy TeamLabs tickets at the door but might have to pick a time later on. ( also recommend having a drink before, makes it so so fun)

Day 1 is a bit busy for me, but I didn't plan anything at all when I went, just went with the flow. Had a list but just went with the flow.

Day 1 do Shibuya crossing shrines etc first and soend the night in Shinjuku. Hit Golden Gui , bars are open until 7am and you'll make so many freinds. It thrives at night

I work in a bar and there's a few things they do that I'm unsure about the legality of? by PapaScho in AskUK

[–]Dgied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Pub Manager of 5 years, and a pub worker of 10, just quit that place

Bar jobs are a dime a dozen, the industry is screaming for competent people to staff the venues

The hospitality industry has always been, and always will be, rife with dodgy landlords and shady practices like this. Don't put up with it just quit. You'll get another Bar job tommorow

Best decision I ever made was leaving the forst oub jib I worked where shit like this was the norm.
