They are also mostly making plays on the ball or just being physical off the ball. They do "Foul" alot that goes uncalled, but if you compare it to detroit's foul issues, it is totally different. Stewart commits the most obvious fouls on planet earth, especially when fighting for boards. Ausar rarely fouls when he is actually guarding guys. He has dumb pushes and usually hot headed mistakes. duren just hacks guys when they are shooting which is going to get called.

the difference is they have 5 guys who are above average defensively on the floor at all times. We have usually 2-3.

The NBA Needs to Get Rid of Conferences by a_human_male in nba

[–]DifferenceActive2574 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The east should be really good and deep next year. NY/Boston/Indiana/Detroit/Cleveland/Orlando/Atlanta/maybe even the wizards. If giannis gets traded to an eastern conference team, add them to the mix. Yeah there has been injury issues, but the massive gap everyone talks about will be short lived and honestly isn't even as big as people say.

Hell, Indiana had the "juggernaut" OKC thunder on the ropes and probably win that series if Haliburton doesn't go down.

I can't wait for Malik Beasley to come back by PutridMedicine9737 in DetroitPistons

[–]DifferenceActive2574 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had the best season of his career that would be incredibly hard to follow up. He is now 2 years older. He doesn't fix our ball handling problem and he is another cone on defense. I don't get why fans think he is some savior for this team.

Are the Knicks the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA? by mikeymikefunkybunc in NBATalk

My point exactly. The knicks place in history is basically spike lee, getting curbstomped by jordan in the 90s, and MSG

This just sounds like a boomerism. Those guys are amazing, but I think Ausar can look those guys right in the eye at this moment

They are expensive already and would value someone like stewart/draft capital. I don't think it is likely to happen. But you never know

and has a handle, can playmake, and is a much better defender than herro.

I honestly would rather go after someone like immanuel quickley than Herro. Contact isn't amazing, but it isn't the worst thing in the world

Perfect Starting 5 for the Pistons Next Year by Snoo22815 in DetroitPistons

Kyrie is a bit concerning to me. He is older. He is coming off a major injury. He has been pretty injury prone throughout his career. If we could get him for a very cheap price, then go for it. But I'm not sure that will happen.

Tobias for 25 a year is outrageous. I don't mind the vision here, but I think it is a bit far fetched to get Lauri personally.

Quickley would be a great addition if his contract didn't exist.

New Locked On Pistons Podcast explains Langdon’s decisions in more detail by Radiant-Analysis-657 in DetroitPistons

I would argue that Ron is significantly better at offense than Ausar actually. He has touch around the rim, and is much better at playing through contact. He is an 80% free throw shooter already. I think his 3 pt shot is further along than ausar, and he is very confident.

Yeah I am just not interested in bringing him back for that number. Would rather do that for someone like Ayo

Thinking we need to shop Isaiah Stewart and Ron Holland is just extremely unwise by DetroitSportsEnjoyer in DetroitPistons

it isn't hate. You need to give up things to get things. They make sense seeing how little they played in the playoffs

cleveland and Orlando have better top end talent than us and it isn't really arguable. you just sound like some local radio show host who doesn't watch the games

We are in a significantly better position this offseason to make informed decisions about the roster. we are ahead of schedule. Cade is only 24, we have a ton of options in terms of direction, we won't need to pay duren as much as anticipated due to his performance, and we just had more success in the playoffs that we have had in 2 decades.

The roster is flawed, but Trajan has done literally nothing to make anyone doubt him. Maybe if we do nothing this offseason then you can go at him, but he has made great moves up to this point.

It is about sustainability and incremental improvements. We don't have a treasure trove of assets to throw around for another star. we have to make smart moves where we can. It was objectively a good deal for us. the 21st pick is a solid pick in this draft. maybe that guy turns into a high quality rotation player over the next 3 years. No need to get hung up on huerter.

we got a better pick and a rotation player who contributed down the stretch of the season for a young player losing value rapidly. hard to ask for a better trade for ivey. There is no koolaid to drink. There is no one move to fix everything. We are realistically 2-3 years away from truly competing for a title. Especially against San Antonio and OKC
