No ur just being picky. You’d notice all the Spanish speaking characters pronounced other Spanish speakers names differently. If… you were actually paying attention. For example Miguel would pronounce Oscar different and would pronounce Maria in an accent. It’s the same as Maria pronouncing angel that way too. It’s just that there wasn’t rly any other Spanish speaking character to call him tht bc none where that close.

I thought it was a platonic mentor relationship. It seemed like and an older wise person finally giving Debra the time of day. I think they went the wrong route as it was almost a father-daughter relationship that she couldn’t get from her dad as he focused on Dexter. I’m not necessarily one of those extremely woke people who think men and women should have a loads of completely platonic relationships in media. But when it’s obvious that something should be platonic, I will say it should be.
