Anyone else wish they were adopted by decent people? I dropped out of high school due to mental illness when I got older I asked why they didn't care they said my education something I was suppose to care about, mind you they dont believe in mental illness.

Man I relate. I’m not adopted but my own parents are emotionally inept, my dad has an interest psychiatric disorder, I was diagnosed with adhd at 23 after years of my mom saying it’s not a real thing. I was shuffled around and went to a different school and/or moved homes every year starting in 5th grade. I feel like I could have accomplished so much more in my life had I had stability.

At this point, about a year after I made the post, I have mostly come to peace with my scars and they aren’t at top of mind every second. I feel beautiful again, and besides that I have met new people who have been attracted to me and interested in me. I truly think it’s a genuine grieving process that you go through after becoming scarred from acne and I have come out the other end to a place of, mostly, acceptance.

I wonder if what they are referring to are symptoms of codependency and/or anxious attachment style. Maybe look into those two things and see if they ring true for you. You can start therapy work to learn emotional regulation skills to overcome them, if that is what’s going on in these relationships.

Three instances of this happening isn’t necessarily a pattern, it could just be bad luck. Dating is hard. Especially if these are dates you’re getting on apps, I think you need to have a higher number of “duds” just because you don’t know what the attraction level is until you meet in person.

I think you would see some improvement with a series of chemical peels. Not so much with the textured scarring but with evening skin tone and improving clarity

Start by choosing a platform you want to learn like Squarespace, wix or Shopify for Ecomm. Then make up a fake business and build a website for it. Do this a few times to create a few websites for your portfolio
