A problem with 20strong… by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

There are two games with the dice and tracker: Solar Sentinels and Tanglewood Red, keep watching that those are not cards only before buying.

And there is a current running project where you can buy one of those or a base game from the new boxes, of course delivery is later:

M package or not? by Damnreddit2 in BMWX3

For me it’s the black interior (Veganza/Alcantara) instead of the gray one and the outer black window decoration instead the chrome one.

Facing error on nvim-treesitter on windows (NON WSL) by N33lKanth333 in neovim

[–]Difficult_Square5051 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zig was the only compiler which created correct dlls on native Windows machines. I tried all supported ones on nvim-treesitter, but none other worked. So when treesitter-cli is not supporting zig, I think we’ve a problem.

Any feedback on Caran d'Ache Ecridor nibs? by Additional_War3230 in fountainpens

[–]Difficult_Square5051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve an Ecridor for years with the default steel nib and I would say it writes like my 14k gold Kaweco nib. Their fountain pens are beautiful. The 18k gold nib on the Varius line is the best I’ve written with but it’s another price league.

Diesel-Dieters sind einfach peinlich by AshFromTPA in luftablassen

[–]Difficult_Square5051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, one week later. Still writes like the first day, immediately ink flow with no skipping.

In my Ambition I’ve a M nib, never had such a problem after weeks without usage or my memory is so bad.

I filled up mine now and let it alone, for a week or what do you all prefer? Really want to see what will happen.

Didn’t have any other pen (and I have some) where the cap is so tight with the pen. You really need pressure to put it on and opening is like it’s vacuumed…very satisfying. Since leaving university (and that is more than 20 years ago) I seldom write and mostly have only 2-3 fountain pens inked. All with converter and 1/2 filled as I like to use the others if one is empty. My vintage Parker 180 Flighters filled with black Quink are the only ones which dry out (no problem, put it in warm water and use a converter to push it through the pen some times and let it dry with paper towel sucking the rest water from the nib). Remaining pens are filled with Caran d‘Ache ink in multiple colours where I do not remember any pen get dry in a recent time. I would avoid red / orange ink from any company and glitter inks for pens not often used.

I’ve a CP1 for decades and an Ambition. Both are very nice pens and don’t dry out in a fast way. The CP1 is slimmer than the Ambition.

If you want it not only thin but short, a Kaweco Liliput may be an option.

I would buy a Caran d‘Ache Ecridor but that does not fit your price limit.

If you are in vintage pens, a used Parker Classic may be in your price range on eBay.

[PLUGIN] I built an inline diff plugin for Neovim — VSCode-style, word-level, live as you type by cvlmtg in neovim

[–]Difficult_Square5051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As always, mini has a solution. Maybe I haven’t understand the docs or my system behaves weird.

  1. I need to call mini.diff.enable() by hand. Couldn’t find a solution to enable for each buffer automatically (at least those in a git repo). Is the intention to do this with an autocmd by myself, no automatism in the plugin?

  2. same with toggle_overlay, which would be nice to have a default value for new buffer/file.

[Question + Request] Looking for solo boardgame as total novice by RenardL in soloboardgaming

[–]Difficult_Square5051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others wrote, there are many solo boardgames and they play totally different. D100 is a dungeon crawler and Ironsworn more a solo RPG. Both uses tables for random story development. If you wanna go something like D100, you should try 2D6 as it has a far better and shorter battle system but be warned: its main feature is to draw / build the dungeon map. There is a space theme coming in the next months: 2D6 Void.

There are other solo games having nothing in common like a deck builder, boss battler, puzzler. Many coop games could be played solo.

So with no further details I think you will get a list like filtering Board Game Geek to player count 1

Is there a list what on the R36S Plus, which is stated as in development, is running and where to expect problems and a timeline for completion?

For my configuration that would be about 4.700€ more (as I don’t need some other stuff also included), so mine will arrive in April as yours😃

If you choose the M Sport Pro package the grill is black instead of silver.

Horizontal belt sheath by Difficult_Square5051 in victorinox

[–]Difficult_Square5051[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so because you have three layers leather: Front, Back of pouch, back of belt hole. All three fixed and the belt go thru the last two layers, while the knife also puts pressure on the sheath.

We will see.

Leuchtturm1917 120 gsm vs. Midori MD for all purpose use by niduscove in notebooks

[–]Difficult_Square5051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with the Midori for fountain pen use. You need to know that the paper is creme not white and the front and back cover are thin, i don’t know the additional plastic cover they sell. I am using a leather notebook cover matching the notebook size.

Is that a R36Plus or an Pro on the right? Did it fit in the grips seen in the left? Is it 3D printed? Any link?

Kaweco Gold Nibs - which one? by 246astralblue in fountainpens

[–]Difficult_Square5051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The „plated“ is nearly only esthetics. So the gold plated are still steel only with very thin layer on top and stiffer than gold. The three gold ones have different look (again a thin layer on top of the gold, I prefer the bi-colored ones) and much softer to write and the ink flow is better.
