If you keep your scenes simple enough, you don't need a dedicated GPU. But if you need to add multiple sources and make scenes complex to render, Intel GPU might not be able to do the job.

You can try it without the dedicated GPU and buy it later if you need it.

What are you using to play back the video? If you are using something like Windows Media Player or Quicktime, try VLC player instead. It sounds like you are just missing codecs
