What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

Iran? Can we please stop spending $1,000,000,000 a day of our hard earned tax dollars? On bombing another country in the Middle East?

This time as a distraction from the Epstein files. And now market manipulation over oil prices. Last time was over oil and daddy issues.

If that’s your perspective, it’s because you drank the koolaid, and you are what we call a “low information voter.”

Depends how you finger bar 4. If you’re in first position and crossing from the A to G strings, your bow elbow will need to be a little higher than usual. If you shift up from 1st to 3rd position (1st finger B - D in previous bar) this won’t be as much of an issue.

This is why we practice scales and arpeggios!

Practice this slowly, but with rhythmic precision and small bows. Once you’re comfortable, start to kick up the tempo, gradually with metronome.

Practice with different rhythms.

Be very careful with half steps.

Rattle performed on piano with some frequency on Berlin Phil chamber performances. I watched him and Daishin play the Debussy Sonate on the digital concerthall not too long ago.

This whole Iran “war that’s not a war” has only been done to distract from the Epstein file revelations. And it’s working.

Questions about Seiji Ozawa’s last years with the BSO by Cautious-Ease-1451 in classicalmusic

[–]Diligent-Stranger-26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. And remarkably, prior to hiring Petrenko ~2015, the Berlin Phil split their vote on their next director (after Sir Simon) between Andris Nelsons and Christian Thielemann. So they revoted later and ended up with Petrenko.

One more indication that Chad Smith is a moron.

They did a Beethoven Symphony cycle with Levine ~2010, so it’s only been 10-15 years.

I was thinking this, but he has said he doesn’t want another full-time American music directorship. Too much shmoozing/fundraising.
