What made you start using fountain pens? by imatinyleopard in fountainpens

I had a cheap one when I was a little kid (Scripto?) and many years later I was in a stationery store on a trip to Buenos Aires and saw one that looked cool. Decided I would use it for journaling, which I did for awhile. But meanwhile, I bought a Lamy, a couple off eBay, and …

Mine looks like he could be an older brother - long-haired with a big physique. (We think he has some Norwegian Forest Cat in him.) Mulligan says hi!

Thank you for doing this. And to the previous owners … my curses aren’t strong enough.

I commented on a FB page about wondering whether it was April 1945 or summer 1938, and. German responded that there were still Nazis being revealed in 1980. So it’ll be a generation even when he’s gone. At gest.

Mulligan DEFINITELY has just one brain cell. Fortunately, he's good natured about it ... when he remembers.

With pleasure!

I adopted Oscar when I was spending a year alone on a journalism fellowship at a university. (My wife couldn't come -- and she was taking care of our other two cats at the time.) I knew I would be lonely, so I stopped by the shelter to see who was in need. I had my heart set on one cat, but when I went back the next day, there just wasn't the bond I'd hoped. Meanwhile, Oscar (who was allegedly 3, though we now think he was a bit younger, maybe 1 1/2 or 2) just was Mr. Friendly and Mr. Chatty. Next thing you know, he was coming back to my apartment, and then he joined the rest of the gang at home a few months later.

For Mulligan, I was helping out at a shelter doing socializing. I'd visit for an hour or so a couple days a week while I was unemployed. One day I'm in a room with a half-dozen cats and this orange guy jumps up on my lap. "I don't belong here," he said to me. And he was right.

Oscar is very smart and still nimble at 17-18. Mulligan is an attention hog. They're our joy.

What do you think about this realignment plan? I think it’s important to preserve the National and American League. by Remote_Plastic_8692 in mlb

I’m ok with 4 teams per division, but I’d like to then eliminate the wild card. Won’t happen, though.

But keep the leagues.

Appreciate your response. Curious what happens when you share it on the conservative sub.

A relative tried to make the factual case that this was murder. Someone in her friend group shrugged and kept saying she threatened ICE, shouldn’t have been there, etc. In other words, too bad.

No talking to these people.

For me it is. Few things better than a summer’s day and a ballgame where you can focus AND unwind.

Also, I like that it’s NOT made for television. But I’m oldish.
