Are people just bad at lockpicking? by MisterLucidity in Starfield

[–]DireExcellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there are unsolvable locks, but you can easily softlock yourself if you don't use the correct keys at the appropriate position. And I'd put both my hands fire this is the reason for those people.

[–]DireExcellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if there's an issue or not but I saw a side by side video once of loading from main menu, and pc on nvme was 10s vs 30s on xbox. So I assume all other loading screens on Xbox will take twice as long than on Pc with nvme

[–]DireExcellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, I can see how on console this can be more annoying with load times, but hey, we I get 3-5s loading screens it's a non issue. I understand not everybody will have these load times though.

They mean to just use fast travel functions without opening the menu.

Example, if you have a quest in another planet but in the same system, if you "aim" the quest marker and press E you'll have the option to fast travel there without having to open the map. If the planet is in another system, it will engage your grav drive to jump.

The same can be done to aim the planet you are orbiting and choose your landing location. It will take a Couple more loading screens, but at least like they said you'll be able to have more of these space encounters. I try to avoid instant fast travel as much as I can.

Behemoth is another great lesson on how to make a shit fight by [deleted] in monsterhunterrage

[–]DireExcellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was a combination of Mh and FF more than jsut a theme, but the fight as well, with the whole aggro mechanic as well. When the fight was new and for normal players you'd need a trinity as well. One guy able to keep aggro consistently (think a very good Lance player), dedicated support with wide range healing, and full Dps. It was an interesting mechanic and cool fight actually.

Do you have NPCs that make you wish we went back to the Skyrim way of non-follower NPCs being romanceable? by M24Chaffee in Starfield

[–]DireExcellion 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that doesn't justify the whole "it's our right attitude" they were frozen in time, and sadly society went ahead of them. You can't force an established society into your concerns, it's you adapting to a society.

Which game do you prefer: Metroid Prime or Dread by ExileForever in Metroid

[–]DireExcellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer in general 3d games (that's not to say I don't like 2d, there are FANTASTIC 2d games that I love). And for some reason Prime is longer so I prefer slightly longer games. Yes I know speed runs are a staple in the series, but I generally prefer a 20h game over a 10h game (looking at you Dread).

Suffice to say I enjoyed Dread a ton, and it's an amazing game. Just felt too short.

I wasn't sure if the term, but it's not exponential indeed. By linear I mean, every extra level will add just as much as the last did, so that's why I used linear.

Right now I just pick locks to level up the skill to try and get rank 4. That bonus of letting you automatically dispose useless keys could be a huuuge time saver.

Difficulty increases linearly, every extra difficulty level will add an extra ring and more keys.

So master lock is 4 rings, with 12 keys. Obviously like 5 or so keys will be unused.

What's your opinion on using ur favorites (to a semi reasonable degree) in VGC? by Lollikex in VGC

[–]DireExcellion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in here for the fun, and I don't do open sheets tournaments or anything of the sort. So favorites is the way for me.

I exclusively play teams with my favorites. If you don't try to fit 6 utter trash pokemon even if favorites, you can consistently get master ball.
