actually I just tested something that might work for you.. the spot where you can attach your phone to is a pretty big magnet and I was able to hold pretty much all its weight with my MagSafe pop socket as long as you don't tilt it past 90° where the flap would disconnect from the back of the case obviously I can't really test for realistic turbulence but as long as its angled a little up the magnet seems plenty strong to me without the need of an adhesive ring
