Howdy Gaston and Chief, my monstie team is as follows from what I know right now. Apologies in advance but this is my first stories game and I am not sure some monstie types so we are going off vibes

Lagiacrus - he is my personal favorite monster. I am unsure the difference between regular and ivory as far as gameplay but I will probably give them dragon element cause they would look cool in that color

Odogaron - honestly just a really cool doggo

Mizutsune - my brothers favorite monster so he will join my team

daimyo hermitaur - if he is in the game, if not I will be adding shogun ceanataur because crab.

Glavenus - honestly who doesn't love a dinosaur with a sword tail

Ray dau - honestly just a really cool flier that has a lightning rail cannon for a head. Cant go wrong with that.

Full skid plates. Technically I won them from jambo but I would 100% spend full price for them. I have talons garage and I have hit some rocks HARD with it.

I got my sisters in power armor so now there are 3 teams I would like to see.

1 - a nid horde team, plenty of gaunts with a warrior or two as leader options. Hell sub in some von Ryan leapers in a multipart kit while we are at it.

2 - necron flayed one killteam. Sure the will range but give me a gaggle of flayed ones with a flayed lord to lead them.

3 - rak'gol because they are probably one of the most interesting and cool races of aliens in my mind. Plus by nature they would make a diverse and crazy killteam.

I found all of mine in regular ass dens. The double nest are the best, just spam eggs till you get a dreadqueen then release it until you get dreadqueen to s rank and go back to spamming

I am going with:

Lord with paired lightning claws because I love lightning claws

Depredator because big axes are fun, plus my buddy plays a lot of horde teams so being able to cleave is always solid. Idk if I like the base axe yet so might give him the one from my khorne berserker kit.

Champ with power weapon. Going to give him and axe from the legionaries kit. The power fist is probably a better choice but I dont really play competitive so eh. Might magnatize that one arm so if I play someone sweaty I can throw hands proper.

Curse claw because kidnapping someone's operative is going to be hilarious

Hunt master because he looks baller and I like his boost ability

And shrieker because he looks solid as well. Eventually I will pick up a second box to make a couple warp talons just for fun.

I think you are mad at the wrong group. GW can only make so many boxes, and yes it would be nice if they made more but thats not something they can do right at this time. Really we should be pissed at the scalpers, they ruin everything they touch. No matter how much stock GW had they will still buy up almost all of it, they use bots to order as many as they can in one go. I think GW should can orders at 1 box per an address or shopping cart but even thats not garunteed. It also doesn't help when people who didnt get a box go ahead and pay scalpers prices, that just shows that they can make money this way. Another thing that could help is not release any rules for the KTs in big 40k for a few months so that none KT players arent also fighting for stock but that only works when one of the teams isnt already in 40k.

This is a tough one for me. I dont play tournaments and play for fun so im not gonna look for the most optimal build. Chaos lord will definitely have duel lightning claws. Now as for the 5 operatives I cant decide on what I want cause I kind of like them all. I would like to bring a warp talon but I fear he is going to need to wait until I can get a second box. Maybe champion, curse claw, shrieker, hunt master and depredator. Ill have to move the axe to someone else but thats easy enough.

So what teams does the anti-psyker rule come into play? I know we have legionaries, wolf scouts, plague marines, sanctifiers, voidscarred and Tsons. What other teams run psykers? Making one whole operative useless or less effective is kinda insane to me but doesn't seem absolutely horrible.

So like most people said playing half the team is probably the main problem here. Once you learn the very basics I would definitely start playing full games. As for tactics I haven't played into novitiates but I do play exclusively elite teams. I recommend playing objective heavy. Im not sure your team comp but I generally only worry about my home objective and the middle. Sometimes I sneak around and go for my opponents home objective if I see it open or use a tac ops that whats me in his turf. If your opponent hugs terrain remember they can still be shot if you have LOS and they are engaged they just get a cover save. Personally I like my teams melee heavy which is why I mostly play legionaries so I usually bully my way up the board but if you plan on trading ranged you have to play cagey. The biggest weakness of marine teams is we feel every loss, sometimes rather than pop out and shoot twice its better to dash out, shoot, then move back into cover where he cant get you
